Watch all of the Saw and Hostel movies to numb yourself. Then TWD will seem like a cake walk.

Oh man,, you young dudes have got to watch some 70s and 80s Grindhouse horror movies. Italian made gore feasts are good places to start.
The "big three" directors of fine Italian horror films are Lucio Fulci, Mario Bava, and Dario Argento. Alas, Mister Fulci and Mister Bava
have left us, but Dario Argento is still hammering them out, sometimes with the help of his rather hot daughter, Asia Argento.

Here is a Link to the non Red Band trailer for Argento's take on Dracula. This is great for viewing with like-minded friends, say after an off-season ride on a bleak day. NSFW!

Fulci's "The Beyond" is considered something of a masterpiece of this genre, mostly because of its dark, gothic photography. The ending? Uh,,
Apparently it is entirely open to the viewer to figure out.

Last night's episode was intense. For those who watched do you think the regular appeared to have been killed or survives somehow next week?

I think if they survived it's a cheap and easy shot by the writers...

Agreed. I only say that because on Talking Dead afterwards they did not include them in the In Memorium segment.

I know, it was odd. It's the first of the group I can recall that died with no witnesses...

Future episodes could play out like when Carol's daughter went missing - lots of search groups being sent out.

I don't think that person survived. But I was/am really bummed out about it. That one was one of my favorites, too. And I was yelling at the TV last night. Perhaps I've gotten a little too emotionally involved?

I've seen a few episodes, including some with the person of interest from last night. I was surprised how many major news sites in my news app (default on android) gave out spoilers in their headline, probably less than 12 hours after the first viewing.

It's true. John Snow really is dead.

Have to say last night's show was pretty lame. Just filler and nothing resolved.

Why do people still feel guilty about "killing" zombies? This thing has been going on for quite a while. You would think they would be over it by now and it would be nothing more than killing a cockroach.

Why did Maggie act all terrified and helpless when that zombie popped out of the water in the sewer like she had never seen one of these things before?

Why don't they pour gasoline on all the walkers piling up at the gates and just burn them?

Because Rick's group are one of the few that were factually reassured by the CDC survivor that the walkers are truly dead, and not just functioning under some sort of reversible virus.

I am going to guess because she was caught by surprise in a much more vulnerable, confined position.

I thought about that but it would probably take a lot of precious gasoline to really get a significant cluster of them going up in flame. Probably impractical. I suspect the number surrounding them would be at least a thousand.

Carol seems to be the only one besides Rick who gets it. No fear or remorse over killing the walkers (or anyone threatening her or her friends). Takes care of business, then goes back to making cookies. Tells the weak ones to get over it, toughen up and deal with reality.

^But last time we saw Carol she was having some sort of breakdown. Was it a normal reaction to a traumatic battle or a sign that she's been pushed past the breaking point? I find it interesting the term "PTSD" was used for the first time in the series.
