Does anyone besides me have a favorite forum member, and read any post by them? BTW, I will read anything 55/Rad posts. The thread on the Rolfs vs. AC's was great. It is the kind of stuff I come here for, as well as the humor. Keeps me dreaming of the day when I can afford a high end bike and components.

There are a few folks here that really entertain me, or make some very good points to a new guy like me. I would have to say that 55/Rad, Lord Opie and Velocepedio (cuz he actually wants to come to New Jersey).

However there are quite a few others that always heave something interesting and thought provoking to say. There are also some very funny folks here.

Now, having said all that, my favorite member is ME!

I've got a lot of them. Shifty,gonesh9,55/rad and that whole Oregon crew are usually helpful, funny and not nasty to anyone. FXjohn has the wittiest one-liners. Schwinnbikeluv's posts never fail to make me happy, she has a distinct way of writing. Fugazi Dave seems like a good guy and ought to start a website dedicated to music criticism. The Fixer has probably the single funniest post I've ever read, anywhere,(#16 onthis thread.) MERTON never fails to entertain, and Raiyn is the bestest unofficial mod ever! I know I forgot about 10 people, too.

I don't really know about favorite.... I have pretty much flamed everyone here. However, I have some that i consider the most inspirational. I like to hear a story about a guy (or girl) who has overcome great odds to prosper in cycling. N7CZinMT is inspirational. Hopefull he doesn't mind me using his story. However, he used to be very overweight which i think led to diabetes.

He didn't sit back and let it take him out. He crawled up on the bike and started spinning. A million pedal strokes later, he looks like he morphed into a different person. In one thread, he had a before and after. It literally looked liked in the heavy picture he was the dad, and in the lighter picture he was the son. Amazing trasformation.

There are also a lot of fellow icebikers that I find inspiring. It takes a LOT of manards to climb onto the bike every day and head out into negative 0 windchills. It's not for the faint of heart, that is for sure. I liken these rides in the spring, summer and fall to taking a warm shower. They are very comfortable.

The winter riding, can be a lot more like taking a very cold shower, at least until you get warmed up. Basically any member who takes it an extra notch has my attention. You can't always just look at speed and a rider's ability to determine if he is inspirational. To me, someone who has taken themselves to the edge and back as well as overcoming great odds is inspiring.

If you are a natural athelete and can ride your bike fast, I might take notice but i really am not that inspired.

I like Koffee's icon (where'd it come from?) It makes me imagine her posts being read in a wise, smoky, feminine voice - think the Oracle from The Matrix.
