What is your other hobby/passion besides bicycling?

For me it would be guns. I have quite a collection, mainly of the assault variety - AK, FAL, etc. I do enjoy buying and riding different bikes from BMX to mountain, and firearms is a similar interest.

My occupation is zookeeper/tourguide/Nature Club leader. Since work has a habit of following me home, literally, I guess you could say animals are my hobby as well.

I also collect '78's and do quite a bit of writing, both on message boards and novels and poetry.

I'm a member over at SickthingsUK and I'm a huge Alice Cooper fan. That's where I've been spending most of my time, lately.
I'm too young to be this old!

I have a collection of Ultraman toys that I've had since I was a kid. I still add a couple of new figures to the collection every year. I like it when I unexpectedly happen upon a shop that sells Ultraman action figures, it's neat.

I guess that's hobby, something that I enjoy for the sake of enjoyment.

My other hobby is spoiling my 2 cats.
I rock peas on my head but donít call me a pea head.
Bees on my head but donít call me a bee head.
Bruce Leeís on my head but donít call me a Lee head.
Now please excuse me, I gots to get my tree fed.

Flying. But that's damned expensive (you think bikes are an expensive hobby - look into getting your pilot's license!!). Worth it, but when the cash flow gets a little light, it's the first thing that's curtailed.

I want to get into wood working. At the moment, my current home is too small to set up a shop, but I'm hoping to move off base this summer and have room to put something together.

I gotta ask. Why is this considered foo? Seems like a general cycling related discussion to me. I think foo implies that it is well........."foo." I don't think this is. Just my 2 cents.

Pretty much the rest of my life is devoted to family, coaching little league, yard work, computer time, work and sleep.

But I love the outdoors, be it camping, hiking, sailing whatever I just love it. Im doing kilimanjaro this summer which I am really siked about. I alos love the drums, been playing about 4-5 years now. I love to cook, that ive been doing since I could walk, thatll never leave, infact I am probably going to go to culinary school (GO CIA! ) I also like alot of hands onthings, like fixing things, taking random things apart, putting them back together etc.

thread exists, but I like being offtopic so here we go:

computers. I like pushing hte limits and seeing what I can come up with. I used to overclock, once I achieved nearly a 200% OC on air I decided I hit hte limits...nobody ever came close....so now I go for quiet perfomance, and aesthetics. No flashy lights, no gaudy windows...just good ole brushed aluminum, some dremel work, and maybe a CF panel or two. Chrome shoppe screwed up my grille and left a deep gash in it, so I have to wait for more honeycomb mesh to come in to give it a second shot...at least they were cool enough to pay for a whole sheet of material. By the way, that's for my air intake...right now I can fit my entire arm in that opening...

That's about a majority of my time. The rest is on my bike, either riding or ebay-lurking for parts. If you see a guy with a definate non bike sounding name snarfing cmapy, that's me

I'm with you Austin, but not military/ assult - Had enough of that in military. REALLY into accuracy. Enjoy buying an older sporting arm, clean it, work up a load, put 5 holes in a qusrter at 100 yards. Then usually trade/sell it off.

I just like the smell of gunpowder. "Assault-type-looking weapons" (not truly assault because they can't fire full-auto) why? Because of some Walter Mitty thing, I'm sure.
