Brother passed away May 9th

My younger brother, XXXXXXX XXXXX XXXX, took his own life last monday May 9th, at the age of 24 years. Words cannot express the sadness that I feel for him. he was a brother, uncle, cousin, son, and friend. he was an avid bike rider, and would always "borrow" my bike for rides. sadly, problems can overtake a person, and he thought that suicide was the only was out. My dad gave a donation to the Canadian mental Health Association, because maybe we could have saved him. god bless.

When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy. When you are sorrowful, look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight. —Kahlil Gibran

Heartfelt condolences for your loss, Jayroc

I'm very, very sorry for your loss. My brother took his life 7 years ago at the age of 19. I understand you sorrow and I only wished that we all had a better understanding as to why. But we don't. Take care and never be afraid to talk to someone about this. You will remember the great days you spent while he was alive.

I so sympathize with your loss. I lost a son that way - he took his life at the tender age of 19.

OMG thats horrible. Losing anyone is hard, especially when its your brother and he is 24

I just cant believe it thats soo young.

Another thing that kills me is how many people knew or were parents of siblings of someone who died at 19. I just cant bleieve it its soo young!

Youll get through it. Life goes on, thats how it goes.

Sorry about your loss.

Really, there needs to be some kind of resources out there for depressed youth. How people that young could think life isn't worth living when they've just started living themselves is terrible enough.

I wish all the best for you and your family.

Koffee

Sorry to hear this. I can't imagine what this must feel like but I hope for the best for you, given the circumstances.

I'm sorry for your loss. Dwell not on how he left this world, but on the good times you had with him.

I'm very sorry to hear that, I offer my condolences to you and your family.

I haven't had any of my loved ones pass away, but I know it is inevitable and I can't imagine the pain that is associated with something of this magnitude.

Hope you are ok. To reiterate, don't think of his passing, but of all the good times you spent with your brother. Riding bikes, playing games when you were little and all the other things that brothers share.
