How do I find my IP address?

How do I go about finding my IP address? I want to try some monkey business with my work computer and need it. Anyone know how?

Sounds like fun! So what are you going to do? I might want to try it also.

That works if your not on a router, otherwise you will simply get the IP address to your PC and not to your router (what the outside world see's as your IP) whch may be what your looking for.

In this case, you can just go to google and type "Whats my ip" and you should get plenty of sites that'll give you the same info.

If you're behind a router, wouldn't 'tracert' give you the router's outside interface as one of the hops to an outside address, e.g. 'yahoo.com'?

Assuming you know which step in the chain the router is, yes.

Looking closely at the names, and checking the timing of ping responses, it shouldn't be too hard to guess.
