I come home from work, park my red car normal along the curbside in front of my house. Husband comes home parks behind it in white car, normal, along curbside as well. We leave together in white car, come back 45 minutes later. I see my neighbor and her kid and I stop and wave so he could pass in front of me on his bike. I look over to where I usually park to find a huge, gas guzzlilng SUV parked behind red car, where white car was. Nooooooo problem there, I'll park elsewhere. Parking elsewhere leads me to walk past red car only to notice SUV is against my bumper, and it is a little pushed in. Sucks. Over yonder a party is going on. I go ask who the owner is and could they please come to their monster mobile (well, I really didn't say that but I wanted to) - as he comes out, I ask if this is his car and he says yeah, why? I said "sir, your car is up against mine and I think it may be damaged, could you please move it back?" He says, he didn't hit me. I said "excuse me, what do you mean, your car is up against mine if you'll come and look you'll see!" And then he says (and here's the pisser part) : "I DIDN'T HIT YOUR CAR, YOU HIT ME AND I'M NOT MOVING IT!" . Wha??!!?? "Sir I just came home in my white car. I didn't drive this car." He said that I hit him and he's not moving it, to call the cops if I want to. Then some friend of his moves the SUV and my car is damaged. He says there is no damage!!!! What the Heck??????????

WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!!!!!! WHERE IS THE HONESTY???? All I wanted is an apology and for him to move it back. I understand that bumpers were meant to be bumped but just get it off of my car! Surely I could have moved forward but that would have made me block my neighbors' driveway. Another sucky part. My bumper is cracked. Oh well.

I just had to get this off my chest. Thanks for listening (or reading)

File an accident report (you did at least get his license plate # I hope). Your neighbor on the bike would be able to confirm that you left in the white car with your husband. That would mean your red car was there all along and the ******bag can't claim that he was there first and you ran into him. A__holes like this should not be allowed to get away with their shenanigans.

Get him or his insurance to repair your car.

Shoulda called the cops then and there. And taken photos of his car touching yours.

The white car is to blame. All white cars are racist.

But it's a dirty white car so it doesn't count. (hehe)

I did take a picture of the SUV up against my car before he came out and when the cops came, he said he didn't hit me (uh, yeah, now that it's moved). The cop was able to get information exchanged between us, which is cool but the point is, JUST BE A MAN, FESS UP, APOLOGIZE AND IT'S DONE!! Geez! I wouldn't of called the cops but he started to get violent with my husband, daring him to call. So I did. So there. Neener neener neener.

My little 84 300zx car was parked on a rural road one day, some woman who can't drive her monster truck backs into it. She was decent, came to my house, let me know, I said cool, do you have insurance, she says, yeah, let me call my husband. He comes home starts giving me crap about "why's your car parked the wrong way, we better get 'the law' out here, you ain't gonna move that car are you?" thinking he was going to get smart and get out of paying for the very obvious damage to my car. When the Sheriff comes, the husband grabs him and chews his ear off for 15 minutes while I wait (somewhat) patiently. Now, this is justice ...
Their insurance pays for damage and complete paint job (which my old-ass car really needed), she gets a ticket for "unsafe backing." What a fool, he doesn't want to take simple responsibility for an accident, so he goes out of his way to get a ticket issued to his wife. Ha. Cop comes to me and says "hey, I gave her a ticket. If it was parked the 'right' way, she would have hit you somewhere else, doesn't make any difference." Ha Ha!

Guess this is why we have police. They hear enough BS all day long to know it when they hear it. They usually like to make a point with the people who think they are gonna pull something.

    I feel yer pain .
Somebody smashed in the left rear corner of my wifes Pug Bus yesterday
and didnt leave a note or anything.
Trying to explain this to the insurance agent got a sort of "so you were just parked ?
suuuuuuure....thats the ticket, just parked" attitude.
Oh well....they got out of the parking lot undetected but they cant escape Kharma.

Actuallly, I was afraid that he would have. Another neighbor was also getting so upset (in our defense) that he sent his 26 year old son over to try to calm things down. He later told me that his father sent him over because his dad was about to get in the guy's face.

My 11 year old son was right there writing down info on the SUV and we try not to show violence, anger or any kind of squabbling in front of him. We try (repeat, TRY) to set an example of problem solving peacefully in his presence. Trust me if he wasn't there, I'm sure my husband would have let loose a little. A lot. Yep.

Maybe he was just trying to give you a little pink car. Seriously he musta been drunk to hit you hard enough to do damage, then not back off of the red car to "hide" his crime.

Which is why we don't like dealing with people like him. Who knows what frame of mind he was in to flat out deny he hit me. When his car is still there against mine. He was so "not with it" that he could of done anything to us.

So I'm on the floor with a bullet in my belly, him holding a ***~ "she ran into the bullet, I DID NOT shoot her. Honest, officer!" Yeah, right. Dingbat.

The guy knew he was wrong. But.... Why admit it? It would serve him no useful purpose. Many people if they are wrong will continue defending their actions just to save face. And a person with a strong ego, look out!

The fact he didn't own up doesn't supprise me.
The fact he never moved it, especially as if it wasn't against your bumper you may not have noticed till later, puzzles me.
The fact he possibly never even noticed scares me!

My VSR 'tool' is an old valve stem cut from an innertube with a Valve Remover cap screwed on tightly... Made it years ago from scrounge stuff.

Oh, and to add insult to injury, I'd have left the valve cores laying right ther beside the tire. Yeah, I'm ornery

A few of us out here in internet-land still believe that integrity counts for something and ultimately makes society better. At the very least, taking responsibility for something so obvious prevents people like me from draining the oil out of his car, stealing his radiator cap, or (if I were at my dad's) turning his SUV over on its back with the loader on the tractor while he goes back to his party. Ok, I admit it, I'm not that mean, but I can't stand the thought of him getting off without learning a lesson. I hope some legal recourse works out for you. You deserve to have your bumper fixed, and he clearly needs a lesson.
