Yup, so over here in El Dorado Hills, CA (east of sacramento) our water is contaminated with Fly Ash. We are not allowed to drink tap water or cook in it. I guess we are lucky that we can stil bath. I havent really heard of this before. Has this happened to any of you??
Please explain further...
Fly ash is a byproduct of coal-combustion in power-plants. It's supposed to be captured by a waste heat boiler and bag dust collector. Then it's sold to the construction industry to make cement.
In '93, the EPA removed fly ash, bottom ash, boiler slag and flue gas from regulation. Not sure why your area is contaminated; someone's not doing their job, there's money to be made by capturing and selling this fly-ash...
Something's not right here. Municipalities should have a water-treatment plant that cleans up this stuff even if the plants aren't doing their job...
Ya you are right but from what i've heard is that the company that sells the treatment plants there chemicals accidentally gave the plant the wrong chemicals. Im not possitive on that but that is what i have heard
On my TARDIScycle!
Yes...in the county I live in (luckily this was before I lived here), a couple of times they had ecoli contamination in the city water supply because of flooding (from hurricanes/tropical storms) that washed in a little sewer water.
