I think Boss is asking a bit much....how do i say no?

Okay well i have been working for a chimney sweep company all summer and now. Obviously now I cant work like i did during hte summer due to school, so I work on saturday. But hes starting to want sunday, to do projects on his estate mainly. And now he wants me to drive around his beloved pickup truck around his yard and haul around firewood. First of all
I think saturday and sunday is too much, and I CANT EVEN DRIVE. I mean I can drive a car around non crowded areas, but this is a car. His vehicle is a 4x4 red pickup with this massive cummins diesel engine. Its like the new ford 450 or something, its huge. ANd quite honestly i dont feel comfortable backing this thing around his house, nor do i like the idea of taking responsibility of this.
How do i tell him i cant do sunday? I need a weekend, at least one day to sleep in.

Driving a large truck is easy to get use to. I suspect that you are looking for a reason to not work on Sundays. For whatever reasons, I feel that this is your perogative.

If your boss demands more time, and you are unwilling to give it, simply give him/her an ultimatum and be ready to lose your job if need be.

Tell him that you'd like to be able to help him out but it wasn't the schedule that you'd previously arranged and conflicts with prior commitments. Also explain the concept of legal liability and how your family will sue him for every penny he has should you injure yourself driving a vehicle you can't control....I mean, just tell him that the vehicle is more than you can handle.

I don't know about where you live, but unless it's really remote you could probably find somewhere else. I agree with Neaolin, be prepared to walk.

Pull the "school work" card. Tell him you get homework over the weekends and need at least one weekend day to do your homework.

FYI, it's not illegal for you to drive on private property from the standpoint of traffic laws, although there may be child labor laws. If you're worried about your ability to handle a 3/4 ton pickup, you should be up front about that. It's an expensive truck.
