That's incorrect. "XV" is the proper way to say '15'.

If someone is making a list, Feel free to add me to the "Think he's an idiot" column.

Seriously, why do something that is easily forseeable to have little impact on anyone in probably less that 10 years. You say it's to make fun of "straight edge" people. So, to make fun of people who choose to display the fact that they choose not to drink, do drugs, etc... you cut the crap out of your leg? Real effective there, pal.

Golly, I think I'll just saw off my leg right here at the knee cap to tell all those mean people keeping me down that they can't knock me off my feet if I only have one foot! Ha! That'll show em! I just can't wait to roll up in a wheel chair and give them the finger.

Real smooth there slick. Remember to archive this thread so that when you look back on all the stupid things you did in your life (as we all one day will), you remember that you had a reason to do it and it was worth it. You did it for the Drunk Vegan Death Squad (2 members)!

Wow, mental note: don't bring up changing your body anyway to cyclists. ok lets see

It's a Vegan body mod because thats what it stands for, my Veganism.

XXX is the symbol for straightedge kids. I'm a drunk and a Vegan and my friend Brandan and I decided it would be a good way to make fun of them by using VVV

oh, and cycling is just as much "self mutilation" as any mod and hasnt been around nearly as long. You ride, you'll wreck and get scars, I'm just choosing what mine look like.

Feel free to bring it up, just don't expect everyone to rally around and think it's as neat as you and your "drunk vegan" friend.

Getting a scar from an unintended injury is not the same as self mutilation.

You do something that 90% of the American culture would look at as stupid and then don't expect negative responses to it? The only people who are going to take any "positive" interest in it are people who are willing to do similar things to their own body.

Body Modification is like Mini-Suicide. A permanent solution to a temporary problem. In the case of BM, the "problem" is that you don't fit in to society and to solve it, you further take yourself away from it until you reach the point where you don't care what society thinks of you.

Also, no it isn't.

Im 47 and have the same amount of hair I had when I was 18.
My nails need to be clipped every 5 days so I suppose there is
nothing wrong with them. I cycle about 100 miles a week.
I guess I should really be worried about the next
three years in which my body falls apart ??

Yeah, but it all equals out when the "veggies" hack themselves up prematurely.

I understand it fully, and I will criticize it. I guess the split tounge can be a precursor to the messed up human behind it, though. I just can't wait until he has kids and is 80 years old one day, and has to explain himself. And, if you even try to say that you won't live that long, I will know you are full of crap, because thats why you go vegan to begin with. I am all for personal expression, as long as it is healthy. Gashing your legs is self mutilation, cycling is not. Cycling is healthy, gashing your legs is not. Not an attack, just an observation. Don't think that I don't respect veganism either, I do. It is a healthy personal expression.

I am in agreement with you, Trek820....
I am defending veggie-ism.....not self mutalilation.
If you read my post on the top of the previous page you
will see what I am talking about. Veggies = good.
Knives and flesh, any flesh = Not good.

I tend to not care what people do as long as it does not affect me in a negative way. I also don't feel the need to rag on issues such as this unless I'm in an extremely *****y mood, and think that self-righteous pontification will help purge the bad humours.
