I thought for sure this was a "so I was running a red light yesterday and got sideswiped by a city bus, but the bike's fine..." thread.

Wow, that was pretty crazy. Nobody actually ran to help the guy if you notice it, they walk like nothing happened.

I thought the 2 ladies there did run to help. I mean the guy flew off so fast, I'm not sure anyone even knows what happened to him.

Who are these fine ladies you speak of? The one to the left and the one who ran out of the store didn't look that good to me..

I saw almost the same thing happen, once upon a time. Fortunately, and miraculously, the rider wasn't badly hurt. And the lady who pulled out in front of the cyclist in that accident worked with my mom. Small world...

I've seen a Dodge Omni get clipped in the rear quarter by a car making a left. I was at a gas station, heard the impact, and turned to see the Omni in the air, slowly rotating. Scary cool.

My (dumb) friend was speeding down the highway and missed his exit at 140mph. hit the divider, and did somewhere between 3 and 5 barrel rolls before landing. not even a scratch on him, but almost nothing left of the car. No video, unfortunately, and I wouldn't believe him except I saw the "car".

I flipped a truck once, but it was only one flip. My only injury was a tree branch in my eye while extricating myself...

I hate it when that happens.

Thanks for reminding me that I have no idea how I survived until today. I did all the things that happen to you in traffic except I had an engine attached to my bike. Please don't tell my kids.

I did not have to pedal but I was thinner, how does that work?

I think the guy might've even walked away. I mean, he just kept going so he probably rolled quite a bit. If that had been a truck, he might be dead now...

He lost maybe 5-10mph in that collision lol.

The one I saw, the guy flipped up high in the air, and landed in a sitting position about 50 feet down the road. He just sat there, looking around. Probably in shock...

What the hell, slvoid!?! We want Emeril! He's the man!

At least the two ladies actually went out there finally. What got me is that the traffic just went around. People suck...mostly!

Yeah, the ladies looked confused at first - I don't think they knew where the biker ended up. The first lady looks like she's looking for him, then starts to run when she gets to where she can see where he landed.

It would have been nice to see someone pull out a cell phone to call 911

Also, it's hard to tell, but it kind of looks like the motorcyclist was speeding, and that the car he hit did stop when they saw him. But by that point, there wasn't really anything that could be done to avoid it...

Looked to me like it was the biker who wasn't paying attention. That car was NOT moving fast when it turned into the driveway... Should have been pretty easy to avoid.

Exactly. The motorcycle was apparently going far too fast. I didn't see any indication the driver even attempted to brake or perform an evasive maneuver.
