She needs to stop smoking the cheap stuff...

My gf left this on my IM window...

"I come back and the clown came out of the picture to torture my sims, now they are depressed and there is no way to get rid of him."

EJ123 12-12-05 06:33 PM

MadMan2k 12-12-05 07:01 PM

There's a clown that comes out of a picture? cool.

catatonic 12-12-05 07:12 PM

Oh look, here comes a spaceship....my space ship!

(hatch opens, out pops a cata-alien)

"Hail earthling, take me to your dealer. :)

What you've never played The Sims before? :D

slvoid 12-12-05 10:27 PM

I played it briefly. But why the hell does she have a clown coming out of a picture in the sims?
Has anyone seen this before?

MadMan2k 12-13-05 12:00 AM

Tell her that her boobs broke the game.

my sister used to play this a lot so yeah, there's this "tragic clown" that comes out of a picture when one of your sims is depressed and makes things worse. I don't think you can get rid of it, though, unless you cheat... there were some cheat commands, weren't there?

MadMan2k 12-13-05 01:00 AM

You could probably use "move_objects on" and then delete the stupid thing.

I played the sims 2 a lot, took loads of screenshots for a thread at another forum; here's the directory of the pics:
http://jonbuder.com/temp/sims2/

Some of them might be objectionable here... although its just a game... dunno

Tragic clown?? WTF...

My favorite trick was cramming the family into the pool, removing the ladder, letting them drown, then selling the tombstones..

sunninho 12-13-05 10:29 AM

I like the ghosts coming out of the family cemetary. Cool stuff.

do you really want to know? what my sister was complaining about was some clown that would actually come to live out of a pic when one of the sims is depressed. it would be visible only to that sim, sort of like a hallucination :D and would make even more trouble. she was struggling to get rid of him

I've never actually played that game 'cause it didn't hold my attention long enough, but now I think I might give it a try :D :D

brokenrobot 12-13-05 10:49 AM

I played the sims twice. First time, the father died in the bathroom, and then all the other sims refused ever to go in again; second time, he died in a kitchen fire, and the rest refused to eat ever again. Now I wish I'd kept them alive long enough to be tormented by imaginary clowns :(

konageezer 12-13-05 10:51 AM

Geez, how can anybody find that Sims thing entertaining? My buddy's kids play it—or used to—and what I saw was just excruciating. I wonder if there's an advanced version with Sim Mall Parkade, where you can cruise around endlessly searching for that elusive parking spot next to an elevator. Bonus points if you can squeeze your Hummer in there. Or Sim Forest Ranger: stand by the river and count the salmon.

"Want to play Sims?"
"Don't need to. I'm already bored."

Karldar 12-13-05 10:54 AM

Hey, I've got a copy of The Sims that's never been played(and never will be here). I don't think there's enough shooting to keep my interest. Feel free to correct me. Anybody want it? S+H, oh, and a small finders fee....;) Man, I need to break out Postal and see if it'll run on this machine. That game rocks!

I'll take it if it has railguns and zombie nazi demons.

That and there is another way of getting rid of the clown. Get him in a room, seal it shut, put a bunch of fireplaces and some bookshelves near it and no more clown (assuming you don't burn the house down).

LOL.. I almost spit soda on my keyboard. Does that actually work, to bake the clown to death?
