She needs to stop smoking the cheap stuff...

My gf left this on my IM window...

"I come back and the clown came out of the picture to torture my sims, now they are depressed and there is no way to get rid of him."

What you've never played The Sims before?

I played it briefly. But why the hell does she have a clown coming out of a picture in the sims?
Has anyone seen this before?

my sister used to play this a lot so yeah, there's this "tragic clown" that comes out of a picture when one of your sims is depressed and makes things worse. I don't think you can get rid of it, though, unless you cheat... there were some cheat commands, weren't there?

You could probably use "move_objects on" and then delete the stupid thing.

I played the sims 2 a lot, took loads of screenshots for a thread at another forum; here's the directory of the pics:
http://jonbuder.com/temp/sims2/

Some of them might be objectionable here... although its just a game... dunno

Tragic clown?? WTF...

My favorite trick was cramming the family into the pool, removing the ladder, letting them drown, then selling the tombstones..

do you really want to know? what my sister was complaining about was some clown that would actually come to live out of a pic when one of the sims is depressed. it would be visible only to that sim, sort of like a hallucination and would make even more trouble. she was struggling to get rid of him

I've never actually played that game 'cause it didn't hold my attention long enough, but now I think I might give it a try

I played the sims twice. First time, the father died in the bathroom, and then all the other sims refused ever to go in again; second time, he died in a kitchen fire, and the rest refused to eat ever again. Now I wish I'd kept them alive long enough to be tormented by imaginary clowns

Geez, how can anybody find that Sims thing entertaining? My buddy's kids play it—or used to—and what I saw was just excruciating. I wonder if there's an advanced version with Sim Mall Parkade, where you can cruise around endlessly searching for that elusive parking spot next to an elevator. Bonus points if you can squeeze your Hummer in there. Or Sim Forest Ranger: stand by the river and count the salmon.

"Want to play Sims?"
"Don't need to. I'm already bored."

Hey, I've got a copy of The Sims that's never been played(and never will be here). I don't think there's enough shooting to keep my interest. Feel free to correct me. Anybody want it? S+H, oh, and a small finders fee.... Man, I need to break out Postal and see if it'll run on this machine. That game rocks!

That and there is another way of getting rid of the clown. Get him in a room, seal it shut, put a bunch of fireplaces and some bookshelves near it and no more clown (assuming you don't burn the house down).

LOL.. I almost spit soda on my keyboard. Does that actually work, to bake the clown to death?

Sim people: yes. Clown: maybe.

You never know, he could be magical.

Man, I need to install the Sims and see what this clown thing is about? We should brainstorm and come up with ways to kill the clown

My favorite was making households of celebrities I don't really care for, then make a house with a glass house in the back.

Basically, I was trapping them in the glass house, and starving them to see what they would do.

For the ultimate in sick humor....one of the "captors" was actually clapping and egging them on.
