Wow its true! PayPal isn't paying money by 'credit card' as I found out when I looked at the singing up process last night. You can just use your everyday account, and link it with the information and it all works the same way!

I've been thinking that PayPal was just for credit cards and I know many people who have thought the same thing, but I now know a whole lot better .

Even though Sherlock is a Pommy, that's an American saying. Captain Obvious is very Aussie.

It was for Stacey. It's the Spanish equivalent of "No worries".

A credit to how much of the world refuses to read. That option has been around for so long. And I've forced it down peoples throats and its been staring at them and they still haven't been able to find it. This world has lost the ability to read.

Ah, but if you go for that option you lose the ability to dispute the charge with your credit card company. A potent tool for dealing with scams, shoddy goods and unscrupulous vendors.

Correct, but you always have the Buyer Protection Plan in force. Every bit as toothy as a CC dispute. I've been unjustly on the recieving end of one of them.

you can use your checking account if you don't want to use cc. if you do, you'll become a verified member.
you can also use cc if you dont want to use checking account.

someone start a thread, "you don't need checking to use paypal!"

Well I had been lead to beleive that you need a credit card, and just about everybody who i've talked to has beleived the same thing. Although i've never tried to sign up for PayPal or never looked into it so i've never known. I've just been an outsider really . Now I know better!

Hey at least i'm not someone who beleives that beleive eBay revolves around credit cards to pay for things, which is very not true!

Speaking of Paypal, are there any bike accessory places online that accept Paypal? I haven't run into any yet, which leaves me kind of limited to Ebay. I did get frustrated enough to open a new checking account with a debit card yesterday, but I prefer the Paypal Echeck method that I've been using for years.
