Where will you be on NYE?

Where will ya be on New Years? Me I'll be at home snuggled up to my girl, drinking sidecars and having a blast. I actually learnt a new sidecar with crown off www.thebar.com I'm gonna try out, and have Crown Hooters for the lady, too (it's got like cranberry juice in it or sumthin). Drinking at home, just the two of us = my perfect NYE.

Libertyville, IL at a church youth retreat. Trust me, way more fun than you think it sounds.

Send me your address, MERTON, I will send you a calendar!

Want to hang out with me on New Year's Eve? I can get to Nacogdoches in about 4 hours.

As for New years. we have moved our christmas forward a week. So while all yousuckers are celebrating the new years we're celebrating christmas. We may postpone the new years evene for a month or 2 depending upon when the whole family can get together again

At home. I probably won't stay awake to midnight. And since there's a race on Sunday to start the New Year, I won't be drinking more than a glass of two of wine.

I will be somewhere. I forgot what my Cruise Director (my wife) told me. I might be drunk or asleep or both. I have off Monday 1.2.2006, so I have an extra day to get over any hangover!!!!!

EDIT: I just remember UT is winning the Rose Bowl on Jan 2. So I guess I might still come into work for the new year hungover.

Lol you do need a break. Some celebration, too. I think the NYSE is one of the last places I'd wanna be on new years.

Take the family out for dinner early, then stay at home with a bottle of Moet watching TV and posting on the forum (until I drink the Moet!).

Cooking my beloved a lovely dinner of roast duck, baked brie, and trying the new Costco house brand French champagne (anyone given it a whirl?). Be in bed by 9pm, though.

When my daughter was 2 or 3, my wife and I went out on New Year's Eve. Got blotto, drove home that way and made it. New year's day I woke up feeling like dog crap and had an epiphany. I could have died because I was stupid for one night. And taken my drunken wife with me. Then who would raise our kid?

So, for the last 20 some years we have made New year's Eve a family only night. A good meal out, a movie in a theater and home in time to watch the ball drop. This worked great. Kept us safe and together. What more could you ask for?

Then my darling little girl went away to college. I was sure this tired old tradition would fall by the wayside as she would naturally want a little more action than a meal with her parents and some movie. But you know what? My kid came home for Christmas and when I asked her what her plans were, she said, "Well, I thought we were gonna do the family thing again". Damn, I love that kid.

You're a lucky man CRUM.

I'm going to be relaxing at a friends house party until I'm sober enough to eat breakfast and roll home without bouncing off of a double decker.
