not even close to the best goal ive ever seen (and trust me, ive seen a lot.. scored a few too ). To get that much bend on a ball is somewhat easy, especially from a volley with the outside of your foot. You wanna see some real bend? check this out

    http://www.futebolthebrazilianwayofl...eo/rcarlos.WMV

Roberto Carlos' goal against france in the 98 world cup

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...rlos+free+kick - another angle, poor quality though

edit: an extremely poor header from the newcastle defender on rooneys goal

and BTW Rooney is 20 years old

HA. Alright, Il agree with you on the roberto carlos goal. Me,as a youngin watched that game, and quite possibly the nicest shot to date. But rooneys is a close second

BTW-fabian bartez sucks and he didnt even see the ball, thank God that man u got rid of him when they did.

    Still not even close!!

I wont say that bartez sucks, he just has some bad days! but not many goalies couldve saved that. Carlos has one of the hardest shots in the world. Bartez saw it, he just didnt have the time to react as the ball was travelling at a bizillion miles per hour..

wrong again.. he signed with ManYOUUUUUUU from Everton at the beginning of last season. He wouldve been at least 18, not sure the exact date that he scored that goal though, but its possible he wouldve been 19

alright, he was 18 when he signed, and i remember that game being in the beginning of the season. So he was 18 when he scored that.

The only reason why I said 16,was bc one of the anouncers said the take a bow son line, and then said introducing 16 year old wayne rooney. Actually it was in quotes,so it wasnt really me saying it!!!!!!!lol. Il try to get the one with the anouncer saying 16yrs old. Good stuff either way. If you dont believe that wasnt a second, what was????

Ok, I am no particular fan of henry, in my opinion, he does nothing for france or international play. Thats why he was put on reserve for france this year. Pires makes him look good on arsenal.

With that said, props where props are due, well this shows he has some skill.

I cant really say off the top of my head what i think the second best goal ever is, i cant even say what the best goal ever is.

But ive seen a handful of better goals from Maradonna, Roberto Baggio, Rivaldo, Marco Van Basten, Thiery Henry, and i could go on, but still nowhere close to top 10 goals ever.

yep!! the same one! he pulled a "chris waddle" on the penalty. Chris Waddle was an english guy that did the same thing in the 90 world cup i believe. Baggios was far worse though!
