I need to order some new contact lenses but my prescription is more than a year old. I don't really want to spend the money to see the opto and am confident that my current prescription is just fine. Unfortunately, 1800contacts and Lens.com don't agree with me. Anybody know of a site, domestic or otherwise, that won't check a prescription? Thanks.
No, i don't. I just beat the deadline on mine, and now i have another years' supply. I have only been wearing contacts for 1 year and have discovered what a racket this is. The OD, where i went has all sorts of mysterious fees. I didn't keep track but i am willing to bet that i have spent over nearly $500 with him for just this one year of having contacts.
And that only included 6 pairs of lenses. I got the rest at Walmart. On top of that they have been calling me like crazy trying to get me to come in for my appointment this month. Guess they want another $500.
Screw 'em! I can't afford all of that. On top of this, they acted really strange when i asked for my RX. You can tell that they pressure most people into buying their lenses in house at a much higher cost. I thought it was standard these days to just hand out the RX for both contacts and glasses after your appt?
They do this where my wife went. Also that is where i will be going from now on. I am tired of games. Games at the car dealer. Games at the Bank. Games at the eye doctor. Isn't anybody straight anymore?
