Snow!

So I imagine most poeple here given the choice would prefer warm, sunny weather to the frontal assault that the west coast has been taking recently but check it out! Mt. Baker (www.mtbaker.us) is reporting 300'' of snow this month and almost a 200'' base on panorama dome. If you take a look here: http://nwsnow.org/SnowReport-snowmap.html
You can see that we a poised to rake in at least another foot tonight up in the mountains from this system: http://nwsnow.org/RSS/images/cur_nw_720x486.jpg

Damn...also consider that Baker actually closed earlier this year because they had too much snow and snoqualmie also closed this last weekend because they had a 3 mile avalanche that covered part of I90! Time to break out the pow pow skis!!!

I just wish the weather would make up its mind. December we were dumped on with snow. Great for skiing, but lousy for riding. January we were rained on witch ruined the skiing and with all the sand and dirt on the road made for lousy riding. Here's hoping February will be good one-way or the other.

Freaking winter. No end in site. The snow is pristine and powdery. I have never in my life seen snow like it, definately going to affect my biking season.

Shifty,
"half a binding, half a brain"

It's been so good in Colorado that I haven't made the annual trip to Jackson and Alta.

We're expecting another storm surge this week.

Yeah... we're having the winter you had last year. Well, sort of. It's warm and rainy here. Farmer's Almanac said it would be cold and snowy. Where's the snow??

Sounds like you're having a winter like the 98-99 one where Mt. Baker got 1140" of snow. Had some of the best days skiing in my life at Whistler that year!
