Floridians...

Taking a vacation to Florida this year...end of September. What's the weather typically like around that time? Orlando specifically. Taking my daughter to Disney World for her 5th birthday. She's gonna freak! She was born on my husbands birthday, so it's for both of them really. Oh...and me too!

I was in Orlando during October of last year and the temps got up to 20-25 Degrees Celcius during the day. It was an awesome time. Expecially since it is often -30 C and 3 feet of snow in winter where I live.

- it will be warm... dunno about in-land, but out here on the peninsula, high 89, low 75 seems to be the steady report...

- of course, you should plan your trip and vacation time to occur in between hurricanes...

I agree with linux; it will be uncomfortably warm and humid, so drink a lot and be prepared to stand in long lines.
It will still be hurricane season, in fact the peak time.

It'll be hot...way hot. September is still summer and it will be hot as a two dollar pistol.

Here's a tip from someone who has taken a five-year-old to Disney. Plan some enforced breaks. She will get tired and cranky no matter how much fun she is having. Don't spend too much time in the shops. They are expensive and you can buy the same merchandise anywhere and it really isn't fun carrying that stuffed Dumbo around while you are riding the rides.

Yep...as the others have said. We'll be mostly (maybe not completely) out of the summer storm pattern (hard but quick rain almost every afternoon) by then, but it will still be very hot and humid.

November would probably be the best time to come to FL for some fun.....maybe October if you plan some water activities.

Have you been to Disney World? I'd like to go at off peak time, which I thought late September might be. How is November for Disney? Off subject I was hoping to be pregnant by October so I don't really wanna be pregnant at Disney World...puking and all!

I went to DW over spring break in 96 with my mom and it was CRAZY! So that's out of course, and Christmas I imagine is pretty packed too. When is a good time (less crowds maybe)?

I hate to be a BIG party pooper, but September is also peak hurricane time too. My wife and daughter went to Sea World in January after the holiday break was over and it was ideal. Cool comfy weather and zero crowds.

I just asked our resident DW expert and she says that September and May are the best times to go. The kids are in school and your five year old won't have to compete with them or be intimidated by them. She says that a lot of Europeans seem to come to Disney at that time of the year.
