Who is your favorite professional wrestler?

Awe c'mon, admit it you've got a favorite rassler. Old skool, mid-skool, or new wave. Who do you like the best? Who do you love?

Me, Chief Jay Strongbow closely followed by Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka.

Andre The Giant! Randy "Macho Man" Savage, too(more for his presence than actual wrestling). I like The Undertaker quite a bit, too. How many times is he gonna come back, anyway? Always rooted for the 123 Kid, too, just because he seemed so small compared to everyone else.

Wow....it's been YEARS since I've even watched a single episode of any professional wrestling, but used to be really, really into it as a teenager.

From my old days:

Kerry Von Eric
Kevin Von Eric (didn't he get killed in the ring or something?)
Leaping Lenny Poffo
Andre the Giant
The Undertaker

Gotta be tons more....just can't remember them anymore.

FYI...Lenny Poffo is the younger brother of Randy "Macho Man Savage" aka Randy Poffo.

I don't watch it much anymore, but here are a few of my favorites:

Jimmy Superfly Snuka
Ricky The Dragon Steamboat
Lex Luger
Sting
The Road Warriors
Bill Goldberg
Bret Hart
Flyin Brain Pillman
Rob Van Dame

Mick Foley (Mankind), for being a real "pro wrestler"
Rick Flair, because he has been around forever
Andre, for being in "The Princess Bride"

And, of course my favorite mexican wrestlers, El Gato Negro and Senor Bagofcrap.

Junk Yard Dog! "JYD" was the Bomb! I met him twice while I was in the Marines. Still have a picture of me locked in an arm-wrestling pose with him at a meet and greet before a show in NC. LOL He was a very cool dude. Sad that an auto accident took his life.

Krusher Kowalski. He was a local wrestler back in the '60s. The guy who used to host the wrestling shows on TV was this little geek, and Krusher would always tear his shirt off and throw him around and stuff. Precursor to dwarf-tossing. Occassionaly the host would finish an interview by stomping on Krusher's foot or something, and once he even tore Krusher's shirt off, then ran like hell.

Yeah, it didn't get much better than a Friday night in front of the tube with your buddys from elementary school, watching wrestling, and a couple sixers of Schlitz.

Brock Lesner. Overall.

Then, Hulk Hogan. Saw the Hulkster at Wrestlemania I and XIX. That was a treat.

Jeez, twenty-five posts and no love for Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart? Inconceivable!

On a slight aside, there's an very low-budget professional wrestling startup going on out in the Valley (the rural area east of the city, for non-BCers). It's on TV on Saturday afternoon, and it's utterly, gloriously crappy in every way! Such a joy to watch. One of the regulars is a fat guyŚmaybe 5"10", 280Śwho gets winded climbing the ropes. His signature move is knock a guy down and leap on him, belly to belly, all the way from the second rope. The move, needless to say, is devastating.

Just wondering. Anything like this cropping up where you all live?
