Siemens S66

I got this phone from my cingular a few weeks ago, as well as my parents. Overall, its a pretty nice phone. THe camera works great, got a nice big screen, I like it. Theres just one thing that is really bothering me, and my parents are having the same problem...
battery life.

Here are the claims
" The Siemens S66 weighs 4.29 ounces and measures 4.29 x 1.89 x 0.71 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 5 hours of digital talk time, and up to 250 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the 800/1800/1900 MHz GSM/GPRS frequencies. The phone comes with a one year limited warranty."

I get about 24-36 hours of standby time, and 30 minutes of talktime. My parents are reporting similar performance.

Is anybody else using the phone? If so, are you having the same problem?
If we just have a defective batch of phones, it would be great to keep. But if this is really how this phone works, its going to be returned ASAP

Did you initially charge the phone overnight before first use? I think you are supposed to do that even though the indicator says full. Somebody says that is how you get the full use of battery life. Something about "memory" of power storage. I didn't understand what she meant so I just did what she said. I don't have the same phone by the way. I just do that to all my rechargeables.

True. The girl that sold me mine also said the same thing.I read the instruction manual and it pretty much stated just what SBW did.My first cell. One step closer to being a conformist
