Whats your Outlook for the year???

I thought it would be fun to see what everyone is doing or plan on doing for the year. Any trips planned, any races, any long rides, etc.

Hmmm
This is the year that I want to have stuff that I've actually built that I am selling. My goals for this year is to push at least one piece of software and at least one of my own actual websites and not a website i've created for somebody.

I just received the USa cycling license renewal today and I am pondering whether I'm going to bother racing this year.

Well....

It was going well up until the first week of February.....planned on doing my first brevet series and the Boston-Montreal-Boston ride, as well as getting all the necessary parts/equipment to outfit myself for it....mainly in preparation to ride the PBP next year. Now, not sure what will happen.....

Going to Oakland in May to ride and go to a wedding. Mt Diablo here I come!

Besides that, lots and lots of racing. I'm hoping to go from Cat5 to Cat3 this year.

Yea, I have already been to Las Vegas, Arizona, I plan on getting a coach to help me train for a 24-hour race next year.

Well, let's see here. I've got 2 trips to interior Mexico planned--end of April and also all of October and part of November. It's part of my work. My itinerate work as a speaker/guest lecturer is picking up so I'll be on the road a whole lot more this year. I'm slated to lead a group of 7 college students and others interested in indigeneous language work on a tour of an area of southeast Asia later this Spring. I'm also casting some vision for the division I'm the assistant director of as I write this.

On personal stuff, I've got enough miles with United to go anywhere domestically. I'm contemplating two weeks at the start of May somewhere out east or maybe in the upper midwest. This is also the year where I am going to learn how to be content with existing (to complement my choleric/type A obsession with getting things done) and enjoying the moment. I've got a mentor guiding me through this process (a good friend, pastor and a much older and wiser man than I). I'm going to learn that it's ok to take time to play, without feeling guilty.

Let's see - moving out, getting married, going to Mexico (honeymoon), hopefully riding at least 2 metric centuries, maybe an imperical century depending on how strong I feel and how the Texas summer sets in. And after the summer, starting what should be my final year of school!

I'm heading out west for spring break and attacking some national parks. Then I'm going to Denver to ride around and whatnot the woohoo. Weeeee! As soon as I get back, I'm doing the first brevet of the year and I hope to complete the whole series (200k, 300k, 400k, 600k). If I'm ready by the end of summer, I want to ride the Boston-Montreal-Boston (1200k). Hope to start my last semester at this school in the fall and then move on.

Waaa?!?!? I'm on Outlook 97, but I don't use it. I prefer Outlook Express. Is that better or worse?

Express is the basic version. The regular Outlook is designed for office environments and is designed to take advantage of all of Exchange's features...

Two words for me: Kona Dawg

Actually, I haven't decided what I'll be getting, but that's the leading candidate at the moment. Other than that, just work, and have more money than I have a serious desire to spend for the first time ever. I just wish I knew why I couldn't have that in college, though.

You look great for 40! And your only as old as you feel. I feel 30, so I'm still up seven and a half years on myself! ha ha I have a feeling you can "run and gun" with the best of 'em! :-)

My plans?... I'm about 95% recovered from a bad fall I took last September. Goal #1 GET HEALTY! Goal#2 Stay Healthy Goal #3 Ride My Bike A Lot Goal #4 Enjoy my life as thoroughly as possible Goal #5 Repeat goals 1 - 3! :-)

Seriously...I have a few big multi-day charity tour rides planned, a couple TT's and a Century ride so far.

This year I'm finally going to Colorado to see my nephew and his bike shop!!!!! I'm going to ride any bike that I want that he has in his shop. (Moots Moots Moots!!!!) And I get to hang out with him allllllll day at that shop and get to meet his friends and the owners of the places (other shops) he deals with. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!

I will have to sell my house this year, so I will doing my homework on that.

My friend invited me to his property in Oregon, so I've got to figure a way to stuff my bike into a Trans Am.

Oh, and I plan on getting a bonus this year for the first time (part of my promotion).

HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY Great times ahead~

This year, going to Williamsburg Virginia in late June. Then going to be applying to colleges late 2006 (in my senior year of school). Those are the big things I can think of right now.

Plans for 2006 include:

1. selling the ranch and moving, hopefully far away from east Texas.

2. going on a cruise this summer.

3. watching my daughter get married.

4. watching my youngest son get married.

5. buying a new bike.

6. attending some of my grandson's t-ball games in Sugarland this summer.

7. winning the lottery (Boy, is THAT ever wishful thinking, but hey, dare to dream!).

MsVicki....if you win the lottery, you have an open invitation to move in with in Florida. You can kill two birds with one stone.
