Siemens Customer service

Has anybody had a run in with these folks?
I am disappointed...

I complained about my battery life and this guy i could hardly understand (and my father is French, I am around foreign accents everday) basically starts talking, it was obvious he was reading off a script because this question has been asked before. In a nutshell the answer was "When we made our 200hours of standby time claim, that was with the phone oFF"

I thought Siemens was German? But they probably have their customer service call center in India. In either case, I'd head back to Cingular and make them explain what's up w/ your battery.

Yep, thats what I will be doing. Cingular gave me a month to decide if this is the phone for me, and i've got a week left now. I would love to keep this phone, for the camera is anything. Its a great camera

My wife works for Siemens, but a different division than that of the cell phones. Customer service for her division is handled out of Texas.

I don't know if it matters to you or not, but the last issue of their corporate newsletter said that they were selling their cell phone division. I'm not sure to whom they're selling, or why they're selling. It's a shame, too, because they have/had some pretty cool phones, feature-wise.

Heh, I remember back in the days when I used to bulls**t them to get free microcontrollers.

I remember when my mom freaked when I recieved a signature required package from Siemens. Her first thought was I bought a bunch of crap on COD, or we would be billed later. Nope, good ol BS got me an "engineering sample"
