James Blunt is a terrorist, and must be stopped.

Is that 'Beautiful' song not the most god-awful thing ever? Ugh. Next time I hear it, I'm punching someone.

I haven't heard it too many times (not my type of music), but I understand how it could get annoying after a while.

He does a pretty good Rod Stewart imitation, if you ask me. Not that there's anything wrong with that...or is there?

I put him in the same category as Beck. There is maybe one or 2 songs of Beck's that i like. I havent heard anything by Blunt that I like. I also dont like his name or his look.

You know what? I like the theory that he's a terrorist :-D

Lets look at his lyrics. I mean...how basic is this crap? I took one creative writing class in high school, and I could kick this guys a$$!

    My life is brilliant.

    My life is brilliant.
    My love is pure.
    I saw an angel.
    Of that I'm sure.
She smiled at me on the subway.
    She was with another man.
But I won't lose no sleep on that,
    'Cause I've got a plan.

    You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
    You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you.

    Yeah, she caught my eye,
    As we walked on by.
She could see from my face that I was,
    Flying high, [ - video/radio edited version]
And I don't think that I'll see her again,
But we shared a moment that will last till the end.

    You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
    You're beautiful, it's true.
I saw your face in a crowded place,
And I don't know what to do,
'Cause I'll never be with you.

    You're beautiful. You're beautiful.
    You're beautiful, it's true.
There must be an angel with a smile on her face,
When she thought up that I should be with you.
But it's time to face the truth,
I will never be with you.

    Gimmie a break!

Guilty...and you have an excellent memory.

There's a difference, though...I listened to Vanilla Ice with the ladies, while I listened to 2 Live Crew with everybody.

Don't know that I've ever heard the "song". I only listen to NPR and "Classic Rock", so I guess I'm safe huh?

Jakey, I have no idea who you're talking about(thankfully?), but thanks for the entertainment, man!

As an aside, I really dislike the whiny-sounding bands(terrorists, I guess) who can only sing about how horrible their angst-ridden pseudo-lives are. Shut up, already! Why do so many of our misguided youths go crazy for melodramatic, crapulent music!?! I can only hope they eventually grow out of it....

I had no clue who this was, so I went and listened to a "clip". You should have had a disclaimer not to do such a thing!!!! Between you and a coworker I have two awful songs stuck in my head!!! Beautiful by Blunt and "YOu give love a bad name" by bon jovi..... Starting off my weekend wanting a blunt object to kill this computer.

Dude, I feel for you! Of course, I didn't seek out a clip of, um, the above-referenced music, but maybe you'll think twice next time.
