Do you think there is other intelligent life in the Universe?

I am taking a class that requires me to seek people's opinion on this. So,do you think that there is intelligent life in the universe? Give your reasons for and against.

Probably. There's nothing ruling it out, and the universe is a big place.

    POPULATION OF UNIVERSE : None.

It is known that there are an infinite number of worlds, simply because there is an infinite amount of space for them to be in it. However, not every one of them is inhabited. Therefore, there must be a finite number of inhabited worlds. Any finite number divided by infinity is as near to nothing as makes no odds, so the average population of all the planets in the Universe can be said to be zero. From this it follows that the population of the whole Universe is also zero, and that any people you may meet from time to time are merely the products of a deranged imagination.

    Actually, you're dodging the question.

"Do you think there is other intelligent life in the Universe?"

    If it had been worded,
"Do you know there is other intelligent life in the Universe?"
then your reasoning would have been sound.
    That's gonna leave a mark.

I don't think there could be. Small chance of it.

So, Katrogen is the lone dessenter here. He must know more than we do, so that proves Traffic Jammer's point ^^

He who denies the obvious is hiding something, ergo, Katrogen's from another planet and doesn't want us to know about it.

If you take the word 'other' out of the question, I'd answer yes, but I don't put us in there with intelligent species.

I voted yes, but the only way this intelligent life will have anything to do with us is if they helped engineer our planet and have to step in before we blow ourselves off of the face of the planet with nuclear weapons, and thus ruining reality TV show.

Otherwise they will stay as far away from us as possible.
Life is about hanging onto what you think is important and finding out what really is important.
"Stop Ruining my joke!", "No, a joke implies humor attached at no additional cost"
So many sayings, so little sig space.
