I bought some food at the grocery store today...

and when I took it to the Deli, they refused to cook it for free. Are they screwing me?

someone should open up a restaurant where you bring your own food and they make something for you to eat out of it.

Depends on if you're cool with your LD. Are you a regular customer that buys a lot of food there? Do you spend hours at a time then try to haggle down the price of a tongue sandwich, only to say, "I could'a ordered this online and had it delivered." Those deli guys don't get paid too much, but if you're cool with them, and you go at a time that isn't so busy, sometimes they'll hook you up. I know how you feel. My LD doesn't always carry the stuff I want, so I have to get it someplace else. They're nice guys, but they're a little behind the times, and don't get the newest meats or cheeses. I've been eating reubens forever, and now everyone around here is eating reubens. Before you tell me to use the search, because I've already done it and can't find anything, what's the best sandwich? better yet, I've got like $5 bucks, you think I could get a decent sandwhich for that, or should I just save up for something tastier? I'm really hungry right now.

Yeah, you got ripped off. It's not like they were doing anything important, and it wouldn't take them any time at all to cook it for you. Jerks.

what Noriel said. If my LD gets pissed at me for bringing by my own garnishes and asking them to put them on my plate after I've had a ginormous and expensive meal, than I'd find a new LD. Luckily the chef is good people and doesn't mind doin that for me at all.

What are you, joking me? you bought some food at the grocery store and are upset that they didnt cook it for you?
When you buy a speedo at wall mart, does it mean they are screwing you for not using the blow up pool on display?

if you're gonna use that microwave more than 3 or 4 times, you'll save money by buying one. ebay is your friend.

If it was The Peoples Deli, then you could go in there and have them cook your food for free, so long as the people who work at The Peoples Deli can go into your Peoples Laundrymat and wash their clothes for free. Now, the initial guy who fronted the money for the deli (before it became The People's Deli) is SOL, because there is no money exchanged anywhere. But who cares? He should be happy to know that he laid the base for the organically self-regulating institutions that came to follow.

(will buy red star soon, promise.)
