The thing I don't like about myspace. I look at one
and aside from the fact that every once in awhile somebody will have decent music that's not some annoying as **** rap or hard metal rock or somebody screaming - I don't get to read anything of worth while.

The myspace managers should be strung up by their toenails for allowing imbedded music and noscroll backgrounds. There is a reason no one has used those in a real webpage since roughly 1992.

Then again, I don't go there anyway, so what am I whining for?

Define real webpage....myspace gets more hits then roughly anything else on the internet. I would say its about as real as it gets.

People hate microsoft and linux
People hate cars and bikes only
People love teh "real intarweb" and hate myspace

It's a viscious cycle of hate

I am a hater. I don't really have anything against myspace, but real webpages focus on accessibility a lot more than myspace. The best are coded by hand. You know 1337 hAx0rz style. And background music gets annoying fast, especially when I'm listening to something else already. And using noscroll makes already hard to read color combinations impossible to read.

Add me and I'll add you. I don't do much on them but it is nice to have in case you run into old friends and whatnot. Which I have.

Chan, just noticed you were a fellow Idahoan and Specialized rider. Thats cool.

Check my sig for a link to my MySpace. I tried to make it a little less annoying. I hate all the prefab backgrounds and stuff that people use. And my current song kicks arse!

Edit: I just started using MySpace a couple of weeks ago. It's a pretty good system, except for the amount of spam that you recieve, which is terrible.

He wasn't defining "myspace.com" (the main site) as not a "real webpage." The individual users are the ones that are not "real webpages" in that no real work (or more importantly, skill) is involved in setting them up. So many people don't understand the concept of text/background contrast.

What's worse is when they have horribly conflicting colors of text/background combination and THEN reduce the text/image opacity to around 40% so it's almost impossible to see.
