"boutique" soaps

Do you buy them? Where? What kind? How much do you spend on them?
What I'm talking about is bar soaps, with different fragrances, textures, natural ingredients etc... that you generally don't find at the biggie supermarket.

I buy liquid soap with shea butter in the winter. Available at the grocery store and very good for dry skin.

My girlfriend turned me on to this site a while ago. I'm digging the Vanilla Bean soap...they have jewlery and candles too. Pretty neat stuff.

There's a place like that in Lunenberg, Nova Scotia. The B&B was stayed at stocked it and we went over and picked some up before leaving. Awesome lemongrass soap but not pratical for everyday use in winter.

OK...Just for the record for any that may think this is a BS question. I am a Chemist. I used to formulate naturally based detergents and cleansers for a company in Chicago. I'm thinking about starting to do this and possibly starting a business. Questions need to be asked to determine whether or not it is viable. and I'm bored at work.

I should remember that when I'm in dire need of a new soap to confer with BF

screw botique soaps...I say go for a good shower gel, and that's all you need...yes I even wash my hair with shower gel...makes finding the right bottle so much easier (I'm nearsighted like you wouldn't believe).

I say if you are going for the guys...a gel would be a great thing.

Perfume soaps are lame. Get some real pine pitch soap from rivendell bike works. That is some good stuff.
