Lex, you ride to work?

I seem to recall you were doing it intermittantly and were talking about doing it more regularly, but whatever happened with that?

I haven't done it on any kind of regular basis. I have biked to work a few more times on really nice days but have not attempted a ride in snow or the really colder weather.

I do plan to make it more of a habit (at least two or three times a week) once the weather turns.

Tuesday-Friday, with good weather and no commitments that require a car. Driving Monday and Saturday. Driving today since I won't be in tomorrow, so I need to take my computer with me tonight.

My commuting came in extremely useful last week when without a car for a week. Helped me avoid having to walk, take the bus, or depend on coworkers for rides.

That's cool. It's so nice to hear that it's working well for you. You know, there are bike bags especially made for carrying electronic equipment (checking bike lit)...yep....there are. I could also send you info about biking on snow just in case my fondest wish comes true and your area gets the nasty weather I've been hoping for.

My iMac G5 and accessories (keyboard, mouse, carrying case, etc) weighs more than the bike itself! And it's not the weight that's so bad, but the fact that it's bulky. I would carry it around if it were a laptop. But as a small desktop, well, I'd probably have to tow a trailer. I'll pass on that.

Last week aside, it hasn't been saving me any money or time. But it's been a lot of fun.

Saves you money on a gym membership and saves you from guilt whenever you eat ice cream. It's a great way to save.

*checking bike lit again* It also makes you more productive and better able to get on with your peers. Just think about what kind of damage you'd do if you didn't bike to work.
