Maui. Arcadia gets second place. If I had a fortune, that's where I'd put my winter and summer houses.

If you think Texas' bugs are bad then you've never been anywhere in the world I'd take Texas over Minnesota or North Dakota. both MN and ND have bad mosquitoes. Bugs have seldom ever been a problem, and the few that are usually are taken care of by making sure you dont leave setting water after rainfall and amdrol.

+1 on Hogsback, slagjumper. Have you been to Away With the Fairies? Highly recommended hostel for those planning a trip to South Africa. Probably one of the best hostels I stayed at during my visit to SA.

My vote for best place, though: Banff, Alberta.

Homestate and anywhere ever will have to be Sun Valley, Idaho. Such a magical place. My family has been skiing there for 33 years. I'll move up there permanently and become a pharmacist once I'm done with the college. So excited! Its in the blood. I'm from Elkhorn.
http://www.sunvalley.com/
Out of state in the USA I'd have to say Cape Cod, Massachusetts. I have family there and its a scenic place. Plus I have a thing for lighthouses!

Out of USA I'd definantly say the wild country north of Idaho's border. Especially Fernie, BC. I went on a skiing trip there with the pops and I'll never forget it. Definantly a place I'll tour someday.

(Yes, you walk on that mountain ridge!)

Where I want to go is Mount Everest, England, Holland.

I suppose there can be only one best, so I'll say the Sunshine Coast of Vancouver Island. Marion County, Oregon, where I choose to live is a close second, as is Juneau. I kinda like the Pacific Northwest. I've seen every state except Oklahoma and every province except the Maritimes and Newfoundland, so it's a pretty well informed choice.

Until I was around 17, my answer would have been Wildwood, New Jersey. I was there last summer and I still like it.
