This is NOT A GAME!

But rather a very serious study of the human body.

1. While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles with it.

2. Now, while doing this, draw the number "6" in the air with your right hand. Your foot will change direction!

And you can't stop it!

Interesting.

Doesn't seem to matter which hand you draw the '6' with, either.

It wasn't easy but I finally was able to air-write "VI" without changing direction.

my foot would like try to go do some crazy. It wouldn't reverse but it would either go straight up and down or create a weird V

It's a matter of training, you can train someone so they can do this all day and not mess it up. Thing is we don't train for leg coordination outside of a stanard walking/strafing motion. The circular movement of the foot is abnormal, thus requires more brainwork to maintain, so the likeliness of messing up a motion on one foot when another movement is altered is greater.

I guess phantomcow felt it was alright to post on this thread because the title specifically states that it is NOT a game.

Interesting. It happened just as Ranger described, namely as I was finishing up my 6. In the last 90 degrees or so of my 6, my foot changed directions. But with a bit of practice, it wasn't too hard to make this not happen.
