We've recently done this, but I don't mind talking about BC...Bc canada is the best place I have ever been, so much so I haven't/can't leave.

Favorite place on the planet? My couch...definitely.

-Keweenaw Peninsula/UP
-Wisconsin!
-Mall of America!

I don't travel a whole lot, so I'm not really sure of other places.

Well i think in Winetka or Wilmette there is a center called Plaza del Lago, which is a fun shopping center. Theres an italian place called Convito Italiano, which is really yummy, and the coast it like across the street. Also Evanstan has some fun places in the downtown area to shop and do stuff.

Hi P, I'm with you on that one - many years at Bragg, so I spent much time on the coast and outer banks of NC, - it sounds like Maine and I, been there every year since I was a kid

Mount Desert Island in Eastern Maine (New England Coast).

I vacation there often. There's great hiking, biking mountain climbing, and camping. There are also good hotels, motels, and bed-and-breakfasts for people to stay at as well.

Ditto on MDI - some of the things I miss in Chicago are mountains, trees, the sea ... also miss Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket :-)

I have to hand it to you Seawhip...I miss Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, too. I used to bike there a lot while visiting my grandparents. It's a good place for that in winter most of the time.

My favorite places that I have been are: New Mexico, Jamaica, Cuernavaca (Mexico), Grand Cayman Islands, Boca Raton (Florida), London, Amsterdam, Wales, and Scotland.

Places I hope to see in the near future include Alaska, Washington state, Oregon, and parts of Canada.

Even though New Mexico is about as far from the sea as one may get, it is a beautiful place, especially around Sante Fe and Taos - think the Sangre de Christo Mountains are awesome.

Hometown of Sturgeon Falls, ONT.
Lansing, MI for the Amish people.
Toronto, ONT because it's a city that eats like a town.

Rochester, NY is a crap-hole.
