Google Finance Beta

I read about this in the Wall Street Journal today that google was planning to launch a finance (stock research) page. So I decided to check if they had the beta version up, lo and behold... it's beautiful.

http://finance.google.com

So many great features. Smooth interactive stock chart timeline, my current favorite feature is how news items correlate with the stock price timeline. Mainly because I'm a bigtime procrastinator and I have a project due in two days for my investing class and part of it is that I have to look at news items and what effect they had on the stock price. This is going to save a butt load of time.

Check it out!

So ChAnMaN, what did you do with your pretend $100K, and how did you fare against the rest of your class?

Come on, ChAnMaN, tell us how you did already! I'll be very proud of you if you either won or crashed and burned and came in last. Anything in between, and you'll have disappointed me. (As I recall, the object was to win, not to be financially prudent. Second place is the first loser!)

Glad you approve, EJ123. Perhaps a head of cabbage will return at some point, just for you. And for peregrine, since she complains no one on BF likes vegetables.

As for the topic at hand, amusingly, Google is going to be part of the S&P 500 starting at the end of the month. See the lower link in the original post for more info.
