Old news, but... if you really had the money, you wouldn't be behind on your payments. By the way, Ralph Lauren owns three McLaren F1's! (See the bottom of the linked page.) That impresses me far more.

When you owe the bank $20,000, it's your problem.

There's a lot more left of that Dodge Viper than there was of this guy's Ferrari Enzo. In the article I read, there wasn't even enough left of the car for the reporter to be able to figure out which was the front end. I can't believe the guy survived.

I was actually discussing the Enzo with a coworker today. He said that the average insurance payments for a car like that will amount to the cost of the car in about 5 years. The normal people who buy cars like that have an extremely high rate of totalling them, and the insurance companies have to recoup their costs.

Telephone-poles aren't very forgiving at 162mph+... Any crash you can walk away from at those kinds of speeds speaks volumes about the safety engineered into those cars. Compare the numbers of drivers getting seriously injured or dying in Indy/CART vs. F1.

I wouldn't buy that car if I were ten times richer than Bill Gates. What a waste of money.

I'd just quit my stupid executive job, play music, bike, go on vacations, and spend more time with my family.

I'd have a Cessna Caravan too, ofcourse.

That reporter's a total idiot, then again, most are if their command of language is any indicator of intelligence. Here's some photos:

Speaking of Bill Gates and money..... I heard on NPR that the IRS has to use an extra server and computer to run just his tax info. Now I'm wondering if that's our taxes that's paying for this?

Of course I think they pay several billion dollars in tax to the irs so.. you could probably run a super cluster and I'm sure MIcrosoft would give them a discount on licensing

TexasGuy, Yes, They are but I just bought a new car last year, so if I had another twenty thousand laying around I would go get one, but I can only dream at this point.

Sweet...that's what I thought from the distant aerial shot I saw. Must've slid sideways into something and impacted somewhere around the engine compartment. Just tore the back end off. If the impact had been a little further forward, he wouldn't be around anymore to stand trial for sneaking it across the pond.

I'll take an old McLaren F1 GTR race car from the ALMS or something, then I'll convert to road use.

You, my friend, have good taste. Once you do that, be sure to PM me so that I can visit and take it for a spin.

Haha yeah. We have mad Corvettes. San Antonio was all about Mustangs (I mean all you saw were mustangs) and Corvettes (mainly older ones). here in Houston, where I live up by Memorial park its all Corvettes. You see alot of mustangs but I swear yousee as many Corvettes as Mustangs.

There was a Dodge Viper parked on the first floor of the apartment complex that I live in for a few days. I've not seen it there again so I do not know if it was just visiting or what. But it's one of the few Dodge Vipers I've seen and the first Dodge Viper I actually got to walk around.

Price tag on those things is expensive though. 72k Starting price. Would probably take me at least 4-5 years to pay that bad boi off.
