Anyone here play guitar?

I do, and I'm such a dork I even build my own effects pedals and amps lol. Actually, I started a forum for people interested in building guitar amps and effects, http://www.ssguitar.com

I have 3 guitars, two electrics one acoustic. The acoustic is essentially a no name, it is a Toyota. I have a Lyon LG4/BK and a hamer pacer strat clone for electrics.

Hell yeah! I play a Les Paul w/ EMG 81 and 85 active pickups through a GNX4, which I use3d to send through a Marshall JCM900 stack, which I sold for a fixed gear.

Now I plan to run it through a 6,000 watt stereo PA w/ subwoofer, since it's the 21st century, and that Marshall was pretty, but could blow at any time with the powerful preamps I use to get my monster sound.

I'm a little more considerate of the environment than Serendipper. I play the air guitar.

I've been playing for about 15 years now. I guess I am a bit of a geek too since I build guitars as well. I've been building steal string/classical/electric guitars for about 12 years now and am up to about my 40th guitar.

I always wanted to get into pedal making but never seem to find the time. I used to run my electric guitars through all kinds of pedal effects and powerful amplifiers but reciently I have reduced everything to a little 22 watt Mesa Boogie and a few pedals like chorus, delay, phaser and I have never had such a good tone till now. What I'd love to have is just a nice clean boost pedal, something that does not alter tone but gives a nice boost for leads.

Rediculously easy to build. Want help building one? Or if you want I could build one for you for a modest price.

I might take you up on that. If it is a pretty easy one to do maybe it's a good place to start. I'll PM you if and when I get some time to think about it.

I do play acoustic, but it's mostly country-blues stuff on a Samick steel string, or classical-flamenco on a Yamaha nylon string.

Well, if you are interested you might be better off sending me an email at joseph@ssguitar.com rather than a PM here. I only check this board a few times a month most of the time.

only acoustic, I've grown tired of my electric, probably gonna sell it and the amp for bike money.

I dabble in other stuff too, like piano (since age 6), violin, drums, bass, but not good enough to say I 'play' them...

You know what I like best about acoustic? You can take it up camping with you and play songs by the fire.

I used to play guitar, but found I enjoy the bass much more so I stuck to that. I haven't played the bass in quite sometime though.

Yup, I play classical guitar, mostly Renaissance and South American music. I was recently given a book of Stepan Rak's (http://www.stepanrak.cz/) modern pieces for solo guitar, which are hard but a lot of fun to play. My main guitar is fun but not particularly great: a cedar Almansa 402. A replacement would be nice, but need to stop spending money on my bike first
