Good to do for an auction?

I will be listing my milling machine on ebay and craigslist tonight. I remember some avid ebayers here said to have a plain white background while taking pictures. Well my camera sucks, but it did okay. My question is, is it good to have a bunch of links to separate pictures? I have 12 pictures of the mill in total. How would I best setup my pictures?

Upload the pictures to a web host then using HTML link to them in the text description. You can get fancy in there and use tables, colored borders etc. if you'd like

I am not an html expert, so I will just make a list of links with a small description, is that okay?

Time to learn some... eaiser than *nix

Just use the <img src> tag to call the images on the page.

Will do that. Right now I am listing on craigslist.

One question, how much should I write about the machine? You can buy the machine on harbor freight, but this has been HEAVILY modififed. I've replaced all of the guts, this has gone through massive transformations. As well as nearly doubled its weight. I want to give all the information that I can, to clearly show the distinction between this and the stock machine, but don't want to bore bidders either.
    Where is the balance?

I'd describe it thoroughly and honestly. I tend to try to make my ads sizzle, that's what people buy not the steak. Balance arives at the blathering point, this will become self evident.

Well when I look at an auction for a technical item, I look for as much detail as I can take in and then some. I listed my auction, hope it goes well. I had a hard time deciding a price. I was going to go 500, which I think is pretty low for what it is. But I found out there is a 20 dollar fee for business and industrial items, so I raised the price to 550.
