Adding music to an MP3 player from CNet.com

I'm not sure how to get the music off the website onto the mp3 player I've got. I just got this thing for my birthday and am not sure how to transfer music. Its all free mp3 download I assume, I'm able to play full songs in a play list. I'm just not sure how to get it to the player. I'm not technologically inclined in the downloading department. I'd really appreciate the feedback! Thanks.

Sorry Kat, but I can't find any downloadable music at cnet.com. But I did find a great resource page there. Maybe it can help you.

With any download you'll need to download it to your computer first, then transfer it over to your MP3 player.

    Good luck

Ditto. You'll need to download music to your computer before transferring to your mp3 player. You'll be able to find "free music", "not so free music" and "music for 99 cents". Napster, Urge and a few other music programs might have programs where you pay a monthly fee and can transfer x amount of files to your mp3 player perhaps.

I have the Creative Zen Nano. It has a special feature which allows you to drag and drop music from the 'net to the Mp3 player without any computer downloading. Its quite handy. So is it possible to find free music without crap like credit cards and monthly payments? Or am I responsible for contributing to the music industry by that. I'm not very 'enlightened' whe it comes to music.

Thanks for the input so far.

Yeah, I have a slim music selection because of the huge convenience of radio, my lack of change, and bad musical appeal to stuff. I listen to the same old classic rock songs over and over again... Getting old. I did find a great page of information on the downloading which was conveniently sent to my email after signing up. I need to look under my nose more often. Thanks for the feedback friends, I'm off to fill my mp3 player!!! (too bad slow computers take up vital time which I am low on)

Alot of these programs allow songs to be downloaded in an eyncrypted version that only that program can play......so you cant transfer it anywhere.

The way around that is to just make a mono recording of the songs as the program plays them, its not quick but it gets the job done.

and i also have a creative mp3 player and use creative media player to make my recordings
