The Best Decision You've Made This Year

Mine is this: I've put all politicians on my ignore list. My mood has improved dramatically.

I haven't made it yet. But I'm going to have to decide in the next few months. It will be big.

Actually, buying the Time Trail bike was a great decision for my riding. Has given me a little extra motivation I needed.

To accept that I was screwing up my life (long story I'm not going to go into), and to do something about it. It's pretty much going to be a long hard road, but it's going to be well worth it in the end.

well, we'll see. i'm sort of in the middle of it now. i'm switching to a new job and it starts next week. my current one was very comfortable and easy, but i had spent 5 years doing it, so i just wanted to get out of the rut.

Year as in the last 12 months? I did the same thing as nick up there. Letting go and realizing that things are better apart. Nick, I hear ya.

Year as in since Jan? I bought a house.

I'd kina like to do the same. But I'd either have to become a monk or find new friends and I'm not really interested in doing either.

i won't ever give up alcohol, but I have cut back greatly.

I probably have around one "drink" a week at the most. Drink being either a glass of wine, dram of scotch, or a bottle of beer. I used to be the person that would go through at least one of those "micro kegs" you find at the grocery store a week, sometimes two. Then i realized my liver would probably stop picketing and sending letters to OSHA if I cut back a little.

I make the decision every day to give up alcohol, just for the day. 2747 days in a row, it's still the best decision I've ever made.

I've tried that. But one always turns into two always turns into just one more and so on and so forth. So I'm figuring "all or nothing" is going to be the way I have to do it.

Congrats to those who have cut back or quit drinking all togther. I'll have a drink or two now and then, but must admit I've increased my intake since moving into my own place with a wetbar.

Best decision for me - said "I Do" at my wedding. May 13th, 2006.

I should do the same. Then again, I should do a lot of things. It's really too easy an escape. Not that I don't have plenty to escape from, but there must be a better way.
