What's Up With all the repetitive complaints about repetitive posts?

Seems like it is fashionable right now for a few to complain about how bad bikeforums.net is right now. (Going on in MTB forum as well.) They are claiming that it is repetitive, non-informative, and so on. Having spent a lot of time on here for years I can assure everyone that things are no worse now than ever.

Aside from the fact that the server crashes almost daily, there is still a lot of great info being shared here. I still learn stuff every day, despite having been on here for years. The only real loss these forums have suffered is the loss of sydney in the mechanic's forum.

Aside from that, it is easy come and easy go. And why is everyone so suprised that there are repetitive posts? Do you expect to spend hundreds if not thousands of hours on an internet forum about bicycles and not have repetition? For cryin' out loud, they are freakin' bicycles. Bicycles themselves are repetitive. Just about every part on the bike does nothing but repeat itself all day long. So enough already about complaining it's repetitive.

Isn't this rather repetetive?

There are already repetitious posts repeating the repeated complaints which you repeat here. If everyone would exhaustively search the archives, we could cut the volume of posts way down and then the people who don't want to read them won't even have to bother to avoid them.

Does search work yet? I've never been one of the search-nazis, though-There'll be newbs posting about Shimano Vs. Campy as long as there are bicycles, if you hate it, don't click on it.

Raiyn, was one of the worst Search Nazi's. Fortunately he got mad and left. I think everyone that is so irritated by repetitive questions should follow suit. NOt everyone is going to wash their hands after they use the restroom and not everyone is going to search, no matter how many times they are told.

If that is so intolerable than don't let the door hit ya. Personally I have larger issues to get irritated with.

I talked to him awhile ago, one of the mods pissed him off and he decided to leave. One of the mods other than maelstrom and konarider.

Personally, when I actually make topics in the mtb forum I do get tons of great info and help. Other than that most of the posts I read usually are the product of someone being bored and uninformed.
