    What do I get for lunch today?

    I can't afford the healthy food that is sold near where I work, so my options are greasy halaal food over white rice, or greasy pizza over white flour dough. Is white rice equally as junky as white flour?

    And what about environmentally? Rice is grown in rice paddies, which emit methane (a potent greenhouse gas). Wheat probably uses fewer fossil fuels in its production, and cows eat the residue, makinvastg it less greenhouse gas intensive.

    The halaal food (chicken & rice) involves chicken. The chicken were fed probably with corn, and I think that the ratio is one pound of chicken for 5 pounds of corn. The pizza involves cheese and sauce. THe cheese comes from cows who were fed grain and silage. Ratio is 10:1 for flesh, but I'm not sure about dairy. And, their farts produce methane.

    Aaaaargh! I cant decide what to eat!! Help!

    You are lucky....I have one choice...vending machine sandwiches.

    If you want disgusting, that's it right there....moldy bread, cheese, and meat....smells of roting when you open it, and seems to coninue fermenting even in your intestine.

    I'm going o the upstairs lunchroom now...if that's all they have up there, I am going to just not eat for lunch today.

    How do you ever get anything done? You think too much.

    Rice is better for you than the bleached white flour. If it were whole wheat, then you'd have a quandary.

    Environmentally, well, get over it. It's all evil, it's all bad for the environment, and we're all going to die anyway.

    Do the rice and chicken. Probably somewhat better for you than pizza. But is this really about health?

    YAY! I lucked out, had greasy french bread pizza from the vneding machine upstairs, with some cheez-it crackers, and a gatorade.

    Far from healthy, but it's filling and tasty.

    I think I'm gonna have a salad. I think. Still kinda full from 2nd breakfast. Who knows, a burger sure sounds good though....

    I had a salad nicoise. Was very tasty

    Just about anything w/ rice is better than pizza IMO.

    Brown rice is good for you, and I live in NYC, so the pizza is decent. White rice is trash, like pasta or wonder bread.
