Baby Boy!

After roughly 70 hours of unmedicated labor, my wife gave birth to our son yesterday. Both are doing well and are home. He is the most tolerant and calm baby I have ever seen! I'm sure that may change, but we're very thankful for that.

Here are the stats and I'm going to try to get some pics up.

Tiernan Ross "TR" Adamson
July 20th, 2006 (The day Floyd flew!!)
9 lbs. 0 oz., 22 in.

Oh, and he likes to pedal in the air!

Cool! Congrats to you..and especially the wife for giving birth. As long as he is healthy and mom is alright, then everything is great. Again..congratulations!

What about the guys who do the RAAM? Going full throttle at 23 hours a day for 8 days?

What would you rather do, ride a bike across the country or piss out a kidney stone for 70 hours straight?

Would you rather pass a small jagged piece of mineral or a larger smooth orb? I passed a small stone once and it hurt like hell. I don't think I want to experience child birth but I bet it's about as painful as being shot in the leg with a .44 or having to cut your arm off.

Except the fact that metal isn't really very elastic.

She is one tough woman! She is a marathon runner, but I still love her, and has run 6 marathons and a 50K trail run. Plus she went through just over seven years of grad school, so she knows pain.
