I get by with a little help from my friends.

So I go to the mall to pick up a little something for my boyfriend's birthday this afternoon. Lots of people there from all walks of life. A group of 5 big guys are going around saying things to people and bothering them. They don't exclude me.

I leave the mall and suddenly have a blackout.

I wake up to 12 police cars from 2 different agencies, a police helicopter hovering above, a couple of paramedics and the forensic team. Apparently my Seargent from the police department was the first to respond and found me on the ground with blood on my face from a broken nose. Just came home from seven hours in the hospital. I don't remember, but from what I understand it took two large men over 6ft tall to beat this girl down for her money. With the help of a couple of witnesses and from the quick reaction to help one of their own, they caught the guys. One fessed up, the other is still under the hot light as I type this.

Yep. I get by with a little help from my friends....

You saying you actually got robbed?
Just seems a little upbeat to be true.

Damn sis, I can only imagine what/how you're feeling. Say the word and I'm there, for real. I can only hope that you managed to draw some blood too. Rest up and mend. I hurt for you.

Yeah it seems a little upbeat, doesn't it? Losing money really wasn't the issue. Being here and not dead is the issue!!

Thanks Stacey. Just wanted to let people know how fortunate I am they caught the guys due to the quick reaction of the PD.

I got a phone call last nite from Sgt. Morrissey saying that one of them is being cooperative and that they are really close to getting the other three. It seems that I am the fifth victim in the past couple of weeks, and that all of us were attacked in the same way. A simple tap on the back and a full face contact punch. I made it out lucky, though. The doctors were concerned about the bones around the eyes, but they are fine. Teeth all in place. Had a concussion, due to the fact that my head hit the cement when I went down.

The fun part was when the guys were told that their last victim worked with the Police Dept.....

Glad to hear your injuries weren't more severe. Does this constitute the same penalties as assaulting an officer?

Hope you can hang 'em by the scrote.

Great news that the police are doing a good job on the case, but that is so messed up that something like that happened.

I'm really glad you're ok and they caught the a**holes!

Dear lord I'm sorry. You are just too sweet.I'm sure it shows.People like you are always targets, especially when when you aren't that tall.

I hope they throw the book at them a holes. The bad part about that is it's not much with our justice system.

I'm for an eye for an eye, death penalty for 15year olds, and bring back public hanging.

I know what some of you are thinking "Not the death penalty at such a young age".
Bull_ _ _ _!!!! You know right from wrong and life from death at 15, no frigg'n excuses.

Public caning would be fun too. I'd by a ticket, especially if the funds went to the victims.

I hope you're recovering well. Broken noses, if not properly set, can heal crookedly and then you can have trouble breathing out of one side. My friend, a black-belt in karate, had to re-break his nose. I need to as well, but have held off since there's a month or so of downtime as you recover, plus you have to wear a facemask in public.

Wow, in broad daylight in a public place you get attacked? Do you live in the 'hood, Grand-Theft-Auto style? Were you able to fight back before you got knocked out?

I'm a bit confused here. It sounds to me like you are one of those part time auxillary cops or something, which would imply that even though you live in the PRK you could carry a gun. So why don't you?

OMG!!! Siu!!! WOW!

I was assaulted while out jogging in 1995... I wish all I had gotten was a broken nose and a
concussion.... yeah... still breathing, walking, talking, make one feel pretty blessed.

In my case, after a year of waiting, a trial and a lot of blaming the victim public scrutiny, the
creep ended up behind bars... Hes being release next month.

Id imagine a long road ahead of you... Youre a tough cookie though, you can handle it...
With a little help from your friends...
So glad you're ok! Whew...

Well... gun's not much good in close-quarters or for surprize attacks. Being able to kill 7 different ways with a single blow of your bare hands is much more useful.

SBW, glad to hear you're recovering well! Getting out alive's the best, gives you a chance to pummel those bastids to a pulp!

Glad you are okay, Siu, Your report was shocking and scary.

Looks like the hoodlums messed with the wrong girl. Noticing the police response of having 12 police cars from 2 different agencies, a police helicopter hovering above, a couple of paramedics and the forensic team this assualt was taken seriously.

Please watch out for yourself.

Too bad, I'm very sorry.

Sounds like she got cold-cocked, in which case the gun wouldn't have done her any good. And it would have been stolen along with her money. Cold-cocking somebody like that is such ***** stuff. I'm thinking instead of by the scrotes, maybe meat hooks driven through their heel bones and hoist them upside down from a tree branch.

Maybe when the whole thing gets to court, you can have as much of your cop friends come sit in the court room--in uniform--as you can find. Make a point.
