The latest results...

From my Time Trial race tonight!

Ha! Bet you thought this was about "Furious Floyd."

It was a sticky humid evening, strong headwind on the first half, then a strong crosswind coming back. I really struggled and had to dig deep from the 5.5 mile point on, but managed my second best time, and came in second overall, so I was pretty happy. Only 50 seconds off my best time even with the conditions. The heat and humidity really made it tough tonight, and I haven't been able to ride like I would have liked this past week. So tonight was a bit of a "Pain Fest" but I sucked it up and kept pedalling. After the sh*tty past 10 days or so I've had, at least something went right!

I assumed it was another race report. And it looks like I'm right. Congrats on sticking it out and doing so well under those conditions.

Thanks guys! One other tidbit...I broke the 1,700 mile mark for the season while I was riding my 4 mile warm-up before the TT race. So I'm in really good shape to top the 3,000 mile mark again this season if I stay upright on the bike.

^^ ha ha....well thanks, but this is a club TT series, so it's not like I was second to Floyd. But I'm thinking next season, I'm going to cut out some of the longer rides and maybe focus on bigger Time Trial events. We'll ride sometime when your better....I have a feeling you're a solid rider. and we know you can climb...you live in NH!

Well done cycle17. My club still thinks nothing of dropping me on group rides, so I know you'd massacre this old fart.

I'll be crossing over 1,400 miles tomorrow. Lagging a bit on reaching my goal of 4,000 for the year, but with vacation and business travel out of the way, and less than 6 weeks until the Civil War Century - I'm going to be one riding fool.

^^ Hey...1,400 miles is still really good! Even for an old fart like you!

When I tell people I ride 3,000 miles a year, they look at me like I'm a wacko!! Heck I only put 6,000 miles on my truck last year!!
