I've asked everyone I've encountered in the past 24 hours, no one seems to know.
MODS, please correct title to read SCUBA. Tnx
Oh but the real question is...Where does a SBUBA diver keep his keys and wallet?
I'm going to the SCUBA shop on my lunch break to find out
Wallet stays in car. People do all sorts of interesting things with keys. I'll never divulge our secrets! They'd revoke my cert card and shoot me in my knees.
It depends on whether you have alarm fobs or whatever. I just attach the "valet key" to a clip inside my BCD pocket, and it gets to dive with me.
if i told you, you wouldnt believe me

Being a longtime Professionally certified PADI Divemaster:
I'll tell you that I always bring a spare vehicle key just for scuba diving. The inside of my wetsuit has a small pocket sewn into it that holds a key. That way I don't have to use a good key in the salt water. The wallet and other belonings I lock up in the car. I never bring a lot of cash with me on a single day dive trip anyways.
So there you have it Stacey.
Just Do It..
Wallet stays in the car, under the floor mat.
All keys except my car key stay in the car too. My car key goes into a small water and pressure proof box that I keep in my BC pocket, which is in turn tethered to my BC. I've had the little box down to about 70' without leaks. My car key is one of those $500 fancy types, so it needs to keep dry.
When I had the old truck, I just put the key into a small pocket in my wetsuit.
I suppose you are wondering about the wallet for the ID? I have my Divers Alert Network (DAN) tag attached to my BC. It's brightly colored and has all my medical and insurance information on it. (DAN supplies special insurance and services for divers.)
I carry lots of coins for the underwater vending machines. Bills just don't seem to work if they're wet.
Have a nice dive!
Fewer Cars, more handlebars!
I can't begin to count how many times I've been asked this question
(I'm a PADI instructor) what I recommend is:
Lock everything in car (yes your keys too) and keep a spare "valet key"
to dive with you, either in wetsuit pocket or clipped securely onto
your BC (boyancy control device). BTW you're screwed if you lose the spare
key and are in some remote dive location (mocambique for example). Don't ask
me how I know.
All I can tell you is that when I was on a swim team almost a decade ago I carried my bike lock key on a ball chain necklace. If it works for practice race swimming, scuba diving should be fine too.
Bring back the Sig Test!
So my guess of 'the back pocket of their jersey' was apparently wide of the mark.

we scuba dive... the wallet stays on the boat who needs money or a credit card in the ocean? and the key also stays on the boat, of course it has a water proof /flooty device on it in case it goes in the water, this is a trick question, isnt it?
That is what I always did. Perhaps most of these other people dive on pirate boats.Originally Posted by blonduathlongrl
Why would anyone want to SCUBA dive? I'd die for sure trying that.
In search of what to search for.
Yep, on the boat or in the car. The keys stay on the boat or with a friend onshore.
One must live the way one thinks or end up thinking the way one has lived.

I'd say 90% of our dives are on charter boats. I hate the mess of beach dives.
On boats, I keep my stuff within my goodie box within the dive bag. On the few beach dives I do; my wife is usually with me at the beach.
i use a "surflock" when I go to the beach, a padlock that attaches to my tow hitch that holds my key in it. Easy !
Ever take id or money down with you inside your bcd pocket by mistake. Recall doing it once. Comes up a yucky mess.
wow! who knew there were so many divers in this group?
Where am I going?......
....and why am I in this handbasket?
