The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly

The Good...I saw two deer last night on my ride home. I whistled at em and their heads popped up to look at me. Cool!

The Bad...While crossing Rt 1 my left pannier decided to dislodge, almost dumping me in front of traffic.

The Ugly...I freaked out a couple of roadies yesterday cuz I was singing along to the mp3 player while they were passing me.

...the song? Pink Houses by John Mellencamp of course.

In my case-,

The Good: I'm enjoying having no responsibilities because I lost my job

The Bad: New job options are grim

The Ugly: Boredom has set in and I found out I like road bikes.

Good: I've dropped 352 pounds and rediscovered cycling
Bad: I can't eat a steak anymore, digestive tract modifications
Ugly: I now have enough loose skin that I could paint my body orange, go nude skydiving and nobody would notice I wasn't wearing a Skydiving jump suit!

Well, first you put your legs up in stirrups, then you take a deep breath while...nevermind, I was referring to the other cervical area, aka the neck.

Good: Rode to work today
Bad: Felt quite tired this morning, and completely unmotivated
Ugly: The state of my 'bike shop' --the room in the house with all the bike stuff. Needs a serious tidying up and reorg

Good: It's in the 70's, clear sky, and I'm taking the long way home on my bike tonight.
Bad: I have a triathlon in 1.5 weeks and I don't think I'm quite ready!
Ugly: My carpet. I just got moved into a new office and the carpet is totally revolting. Both in design aesthetics and level of wear/cleanliness. It's pretty threadbare and there are lots of big stains. It looks like someone dealt out some bloody murder in here or something. I'm trying not to look down at all.
