If you were one of the Beatles...

. . . which one would you be?

I defintiely have had periods in my life where John was the closest fit. That said, I'm left handed and play bass, so perhaps I'm really a Paul.

    How about you?

    I'd totally be Stuart Sutcliffe.

Better to be cool and die young than end up with an All Starr Band....

Assuming it was back in the 60's, I'd be the one to smack some sense into everybody else and get them to help me make good music.

    Ringo's still around....

And I think Pete Best might still be alive, as well... would need to check on that.

I'd attend just for the novelty of seeing Pete Best play.

Plus, it's a BPOE lodge, so the beer's got to be cheap, right?

    That's a winning combination!

George Martin - the guy working behind the scenes, doing his best to make the end product better, without a lot of fanfare and just for my usual salary.

My limited experience with Elks (the two-legged variety) indicates that they tend to be more of a bourbon or whiskey crowd, with beer existing primarily as a chaser. But there is no question that the bar is almost always open, and I suspect they could drum up a Bud or six for you.

I'd want to be Paul....isn't he the only one still alive?

Closer match would be Ringo.....unappreciated for my "obvious" talents.

    The walrus
This is Africa, 1943. War spits out its violence overhead and the sandy graveyard swallows it up. Her name is King Nine, B-25, medium bomber, Twelfth Air Force. On a hot, still morning she took off from Tunisia to bomb the southern tip of Italy. An errant piece of flak tore a hole in a wing tank and, like a wounded bird, this is where she landed, not to return on this day, or any other day.

Definitely Ringo. You don't have to be so serious all the time. You can be the loveable goofball and still make a buncha money. Besides, you get to marry Barbara Bach rather than Yoko.

George. And I'd've loved to be George. Tall, thin, and great friends. Oh, and a wicked talent at an early age.
