- if not, ask where he gets his crack?

Seriously, the seller is asking too much, but $450.00 would probably get takers.

I'm glad to see this! I just bought an older Bianchi Virata (made in japan early 90's?) it looks like the brava in the pics. I couldn't find much info on it. It's in perfect condition with schimano 600 componets anybody guess to what it might be worth? I paid $150 for it.

And it's lugged! (probably) I'd give that guy $950 for it. Not US dollars, but maybe some Guyanese dollars.

I have a friend with a mint condition, all campy gold ,celeste classic Bianchi. He was offered over $1000 for it...something crazy like $1500. It's absolutely showroom fresh, and a daily rider. Such a fast bike.

A new bike will cost more, with cheaper components, so it all depends what it's worth to you, I guess....

Hmmm. It was only used for two years...it has been in storage for 18 years, that would make it a 1986. Assuming no water got it, it's in near mint condition and he probably paid at least that much for it, if not more, in 1986 dollars. In 1988 it would have been a buy at $950. $950 in 2006 dollars would be significantly less in 1986. I can see where he's coming from, since in terms of actual usage, your buying a 2 year old bicycle.

Used is used. And it's only a brava at any rate.

I bought a NOS Bianchi campione frameset for $100 CAD.
