is there as sign on my back that says steal my stuff?

argg.

so last year i got a $150 Ti-89 caclulator stolen off my desk in english class. I waited the year out to see if it would show up and it didnt. Like 2 weeks ago I bought another $150 TI-89 since i never exactly told my parents about the first one.

So monday im useing my calculator in chemestry, i accidently walk out of class with out it and return like 2 minutes later to get it off my desk.

Gone.....

WTF
are you serious....gone? its gone! IV HAD IT FOR LIKE A WEEK! OMG

300 dollars gone so far, add that on to my 04 specialized sirrus i got stolen from school when i was a freshman and some mofo is got $1200 of my money sitting in his garage. ( i have a feeling its the same person but its so hard to prove anything.)

If it makes you feel better...
About 4 montha ago I woke up in the moring and made my way out the door. When I got to my truck I noticed the hood was open..I looked it and sure enough someone stoled my battery.
It wasn't some cheap ass Walley World/Bi-Mart-Schucks battery either.
Nope it was a Optima red top.Ther are about 120+deposit.

I was 99.9% sure it was the boyfriend of a girl that I work with.He is a meth addict and always has a huge knife or something like that on him. He's been in and out of jail for years.Jail house tats, missing teeth, the works.

I'm happy to report that he is now in jail for posession of stolen items, posession of meth, posession of Mary Jane, child endangerment, and one or two others

This could be a sign of inattention. I keep my calculator on a low profile. It is with me at all times (with a few binders, not in my pocket). If you ned to leave the room, don't leave it on the desk! Put it away, or ask your teacher to hang onto it.
By the way, if it was stolen in class, I would have raised hell becuase you know the thief is there.

Confront the class. Get your teacher involved. Unless, of course, you school thinks stealing $150 pieces of equipment is OKAY. If you are 80% certain who it was who stole it, I'll bust up his kneecaps for $50!

Oh, and don't leave your **** laying around. It'll get stolen.

Oh II, and if you do get another calc, make it obviously and obnoxiously yours. Your name, stickers, and whatever else you can think of that is easy to describe so that anyone who steals it and attempts to use it or fence it will be more likely to get caught.

Just buy 10 $15 calculators instead. People who steal suck so if you find out who stole it, report his family to the FBI and have them sent to Gitmo.

I had one throughout my algebra classes in high school. Nobody ever dared to steal it. I wore a camoflage backpack, leather boots, and BDU pants almost every day. I scared the **** out of my classmates. Nobody dared to mess with me. Other than about 15 people who I knew well, everybody thought I was some form of dangerous psycopath. Luckily I personaly knew the principal as did my parents so he or she knew I was harmless.

I gave it to my brother when he got to high school, and it got stollen in a matter of weeks.

Not that you should try to be a new found psycopath looking guy, but the way people treat you all depends on how you carry yourself. If you walk around with your chest puffed out, starring people in the eye that are known for causing trouble, you are carrying yourself like someone who it isn't a good idea to steal a calculator from. If you walk around starring at the floor, with your arms curled up or in your pockets, minding your own buisness, you look like a victim.

Obviously I don't know you, and I don't know the situation which it was stolen in, but I'm just saying I have found the way people carry themselves to be very effective at dictating the way people treat them.

Don't you have any friends who can watch your stuff while you're gone? You're a senior, right? Man, you shouldn't take crap like that. It's too late now, but you should have made a big stink about it in class (if you're a tough guy). Got any friends on the football team in your class who could help you out?

ChanMan, just be more careful dude... You know this already, but sheesh I don't get my stuff stolen, but my stuff either gets tossed in the trash (keys), run over by someone's car (cell phone, sunglasses) or gets dunked in water and gets ruined (cell phone)

While doing some errands after an appointment, I stopped at the hospital to have some bloodwork done. That day, I was carrying a briefcase which contained items having to do with my appointment, a knapsack I owned to carry other things I would buy that day and an umbrella because of impending rainstorms. There was only one other persson in the waiting room at the time. When I was ushered into the lab for the bloodwork, I had to leave these things behind. When I came back, I found that my umbrella had been taken. Fortunately, I got back to my apartment before the rain came down.

If the person who took my umbrella is reading this, give it back. It's not yours.

No kidding. The few times I was in a publicly education environment I would never let anything out of my sight. If i went somewhere everything went in the backpack and the backpack went with me. IU dont think i ever lost any of my calculators

Thanks for the advice, the truth is have a horrible time keeping track of stuff. I always leave stuff laying around.
About the english class thing, the english teacher was on my side because she said she was about to yell at me for doing math in her class. I got everyones attention, but there was nothing i could do to stop everyone from leaving the room when the bell rang.

The problem is since i lose stuff all the time, im cautious to make a big scene and cry theif and then be embarrassed when i actualy just lost it, on the other hand by the time im sure its stolen its to late to make a big scene.

ohh and to jerseysbest and michigander i think your on to something. Im not the scaryest guy in school, my friends said i should work out with them so i can get buff and intimidating and people will just give me there stuff.

on a related note ATroll: ill be your boyfriend as soon as this whole getting buff thing comes through so i can beat up your other boyfriends.

You need maturity and responsibility, not muscles. Once you get a job and start paying for everything, you'll soon value your hard-earned $$$ and secure your belongings.
