Norton antivirus. Limited installs?

One guy at work says there is a limited number of machines you can load basic Norton Antivirus on to. Yet, i've always loaded it on countless PC's with no problem. Is there a limit?

1 install is MORE than enough....haven't you done a Symantecalectomy like all smart computer users yet?

God I hate Norton...won't use any of their stuff any more.

Out fishing with Annie on his lap, a cigar in one hand and a ginger ale in the other, watching the sunset.

AVG antivirus RULES! Free edition is as effective as the commercial version and I haven't had a virus in 2 years now!

If you want free, yes....if you are willing to pay money, NOD32 is #1, Kapersky is #2.

...that you know of How many invisible people did you see today?

http://www.av-comparatives.org/ <-- AVG rules the back of the pack, usually

Portis, the license is probably good for only one computer, and Symantec had activation last I checked. Meaning, they can tell. If you want a pay-for antivirus, I could recommend Kaspersky for home users, McAfee for corporate, based off personal experience. McAfee ePO > *.

Forget the rules they are just guide-lines anyway.
