The plastic thing between the cassette and hub? Yeah, I still have mine on. Too lazy to take it out, and it might save my wheel some day.

Yep me too. Never wanted to take mine off just because others act like it's "cool" to take it off. Just like the notion that we should take reflectors off. Why should I take off things that are there for my safety such as reflectors? Plus the other bikes I've rode without the "dork disc" the chain kept falling in between the cassete and spokes.

Just personal preference anyways, do what you like. To each their own.

Ok, just got serious for like 20 seconds...

Wanna get high?

Just a little high?

Most of my reflectors fell out on their own, the rest I removed. If I'm riding on the road at night, I'll just have to be a little more cautious.

My Gary didn't come with one but both of my Kona's did. And they are still on. As for reflectors, I only have the rear red ones on.

I don't have a dork disk on either of my road bikes as they never had them on in the first place. My MTB in OZ has it's still on.

To tell you the truth, I don't know if my mtb has one or not since the rear wheel is on its way back to Fuji...
