I'd really like to do some long distance riding. I read about some of Machka's randonneuring when I first joined BF, and have been thinking about doing the same ever since. I'll start with a metric century, though -- haven't even done that yet!

i want to be a casual urban rider with fast reflexes and the ability to go EXTREMELY fast, but i don't think i want to race.

realistically, i just want my reflexes to be fast enough to get me through any situation.(an impossibility but as close as possible to that is what i want)

more important than any of that though, i want to be an absolute whiz/mad scientist when it comes to servicing building and customizing bikes... everything but welding. i'll leave that to the true artists.

I'd like to be able to keep up with BDG. She can be the leader of the pack. (sounds like a motorcycle song)

I want to be the kind of cyclist that lives to be an old cyclist. After 40+ years of riding, so far, so good.

Yeah...I'd say they're all built pretty much the same general build. They're all strongest in the spring classics/one day races. Hence my goal to build myself into a similar style of cyclist, as thats the kind of races that make up most of the stuff we run here in the USA. Lots of Omniums (TT/Crit/RR) over a weekened.

And as for Lil' Ol' Me: 1.9m 85kg, 6'2 187lbs. And about 50,000 miles of training down on those guys

Actually, I want to be able to challenge myself. I may be slow, but I'm steady.

I don't care what others think about me...if someone thinks bad things about me that's their problem not mine.

Goal? I just do it for fitness and FUN. I'm not trying to "become" something by riding. Riding does not define who I am, it just enhances who I am.

Well in my dreams I want to be an XC race diva. But like I said in my dreams. Actually this is a good question cause I have been beating myself up about racing and I realized that I really just like to ride. I will do some races next season but I'm okay with being me.

Diva? Goodness no KT.

I enjoy casual rides, solo training rides, club rides and would like to try official randonneuring, and also would like to try some shorter road racing. I aspire to be an "appreciated" rider, rather than a "tolerated" rider - but that transformation needs to happen off the bike.

I'd like to not be one of the first to get dropped when the "B" ride pushes the pace.

I realized the same thing about racing. I just don't have the motivation and drive to push myself till I puke. I just like cycling
